Forget Sleep Paralysis, are you kidding me?

No attempt of trying to WILD last night, but 2 nights ago I had sleep paralysis
where my body was pinned down and couldn't move. Then there was a person
behind me, breathing and then sticking something sharp behind my neck.

If this the stage I have to go through from WILDing, then I don't know if
I should try to take this chance.

That would've freaked me out, but I don't think it's necessary to go through sleep paralysis. Although I've only WILDed six times, I didn't have to go through sleep paralysis. So, I don't think you HAVE to have it, but if this keeps happening every time you attempt a WILD then maybe you could try a different technique. Hopefully, someone else can give you some helpful advice.
Lucid dreaming makes for a wonderful night's play.

Yes, hypnagogic hallucinations can be quite horrible sometimes - From similar experience, I know how you feel Luckily I have never had tactile hallucinations, but if I did I doubt my reaction would be any different than yours.

Something to keep in mind though is that they're not always the same, and secondly to remember they're not real. Also, the control that you can exhibit with hallucinations. I'm not sure how that would work outside of the visual type, but maybe you might figure something out using some creativity?(perhaps imagine yourself being encased in a force field, being pulled away from the person, etc)
      LOL
But there are other great techniques that will do just fine :3
