WILD Fears...

I tried to have a WILD last night, but it failed for several reasons (the ones which seem to be the most likely ones.) One, I'm probably just so unfamiliar with the technique, and two, I didn't know how to initiate one. I am also a little nervous about the hallucinations that are said to come with a successful WILD. Human figures in the room? Whispered voices in your ear? It sounds like the latest PG-13 horror movie.

What have you experienced going into a WILD? How long did it take you to achieve one, and what did it feel like?

Well with me personally, i haven't gotten a wild yet. Ive tried several times but it freaks me out. It isn't like anything is painful. But i just feel a wave over me and then i can feel my heart beat at a 1000 miles an hour. And i just go damn. I need to relax more. I tried again tonight but had no success. Oh and btw i don't hear voices or see anything. I think it depends on the person.

It sounds like you nearly got it. I wish I could get that far. I just don't want to hear voices and see shapes creeping in the darkness... although I don't know how I could see those with my eyes closed. I don't know how to initiate sleep paralysis.

Yeah so over the weekend I had some CRAZY SP hallucinations. I "woke up" in full SP and continued to lie there with the thought that I would be dreaming soon. Immediately I heard a woman's voice whisper clearly "Good Luck". Well, then a guy, about my age, tan with a blue shirt walked into the room and came up to me and began poking me. It hurt and tickled and I jerked myself awake. It was indeed freaky. I had never seen such a clear figure appear before me whilst in full sleep paralysis.

This happened in the morning so it was light out already, I certainly would be way more freaked out if it was at night. But the one thing that keeps me going (and enjoying it) is that it is all in my head and nothing can really hurt me. Besides, if your get past the hallucinations your almost guaranteed an awesome WILD :D

Lol, that sounds harmless enough, considering how much worse it could be. I'm afraid that my imagination won't be so merciful as to provide a good looking tan boy to annoy me. That is really freaky, though. I'm not sure I would handle it. I tried to WILD again last night, but I lay there for seventeen minutes, losing count of my breaths about a million times. Major fail! I'm going to try again tonight, maybe as a nap, and then wake up again later that night for another try.

Sooner or later you are going to have to face your demons. I think that a controlled environment such as your own mind would be a good place to start.

That's said, you shouldn't force yourself to do hard things if you think you could loose control. It's good to be a bit scared or nervous before a big challenge but you gotta feel that you've got a very good chance of succeeding and that fear it's just really getting in the way.

Well sure it could be freaky, but you have to remember that it is all in your mind! And just keep in mind what you are trying to achieve, why your going through with this. Don't let your mind overpower you, you must take control of your mind!

In my opinion, if you're expecting scary things to happen, chances are you're going to stay awake. Best thing is to just let go of everything, find something you can passively think about, and enjoy the ride.

Last night I was in SP, for the first time ever. I continued to worry about scary shit, lol. Eventually I felt my body again, major fail =/

It may be holding me back, but then again, there are tons are things holding me back! Like the hair tickling the back of my neck and losing count. :P I've been trying to ignore and relieve my own anxiety. After all, it's not actually there! In the end, I'm just so tired or fed up with not getting to a WILD, that the fear isn't there anymore. I hope that with a little bit of practice, I actually will get to one.

And don't give up even if you have any strange hallucinations. Remember when you are back to counsciousness that it is only in your mind and say to yourself that next time you will face it again and get over it.

My first hallucinations were like vibrations like a earthquake or a burst of light. First time i got scared, then i said to myself it was a hallucination and in the next times i managed to ignore em and get over them.

But lately i'm having more creepy hallucinations like a hand (i don't see anything, just feel) pushing me in bed (in this part i tried to open my eyes and for some seconds i saw that i was in the end of bed almost falling to the ground) and being projected in some directions (when i get to consciousness i see i'm in the next position i was getting asleep so, you can see, it was just a mind trick).

I'm working on beating this one. Next time i'll actually try to see the bright side of it and have the most of it (it is an intense sensation, how many people can say they experienced something like it?). If we abstract and think of it in the good way it can be an interesting sensation, like levitating or whatever, lol.

I'm sure you will manage to beat it. Probably you won't feel anything so intense at all. Most people just talk about the vibrations, voices and some visions without any fear implied in em. And keep in mind you will be close to WILDing which is worth the efforth.

That is pretty freaky. I have actually had someone walk up to me and begin trying to push me out of my bed. It freaked me out pretty good. Most my transitions now don't have hallucinations at all though.

I wish I had people walking in to my room or wishing me good luck. :P

Yea it happens. I was scared to do wild because of it also. Some people say these are just hallucinations, others say that these ere negative entities of the astral realm. Either way they can't hurt you.

I noticed that I am less afraid of these things during the daytime, when there is light, rather then a dark night.
