What did you do wrong?

Or, to put it in a more positive light, when did it start going right for you?
This is a question I would like to put to those of you who were not natural WILDers but have now come to the point where you can pretty much WILD at will.
Was there a point in your experience where it all came together and was there one technique or mental approach that turned you from a frustrated wannabe into a 'pro'? a 'eureka!' moment you realised what you had been doing all wrong?
I have been following the path of lucid dreaming for just over a year now with sporadic attempts at WILD and have decided make a determined effort to make it happen. I have been waking at 4.30 every morning for the past two weeks to practice and have come very close several times even going through eyeball rattling vibrations and rising half out of my body twice only to wake up or be fooled by malfunctioning RCs!
