Need help with "separating" or "exiting"
I have never had a lucid dream, but I know it will happen sooner or later if I keep practicing (which I am).
I have been trying WILD with the "wake back to bed" (WBTB) technique. I set an alarm for sometime between 4:00am and 4:15am. When it goes off, I stay up for 45 minutes. During that time, I drink some apple juice (I heard it helps lucidity) and read a book or go on dreamviews and read stuff. About 10minutes before I go back to bed, I stretch to relax my body when I lay down.
Then I start to do WILD. I can get into sleep paralysis, but when I start getting vibrations, I don't know what to do. I try to just wait for them to go away, but I can never tell if they're gone. When I the vibrations are finally gone (of which I am never 100% sure), I don't know how to "separate" into a dream.
I tried this method I read about, where you try to visualize yourself sinking beneath your bed, then you rotate your body 180 degrees so that your dream-head is at your waking-feet, and your dream-feet are at your waking-head. I have tried many times to use this method, and a couple other random ones, but I cannot separate.
Please help me to get from sleep paralysis into a lucid dream so I can start flying around and doing cool shit.
Thanks!
