I tried to WILD last night, and for the second time in attempts I've gotten a rather medium-sized orgasm/jerk of the right-hand side of my body. It starts as a shiver on my neck (almost as if it's fallen asleep), and passes from there to my right foot. It's really wierd.
Is this my body testing to see if I'm awake (WILD-related)? Or just some wierd physical thing? Hopefully the first.
Well, if I remember reading correctly, isn't that SP? I mean, I get that too, but only when inducing sleep paralysis. It's probably just your body testing to see if you're really asleep. Happens:)
This in science is called a hypnopompic myoclonic muscle twitch. This is a part of sleep paralysis. My experience has been not to try and resist these movements but observe them. Do not give up at this point. This is where it gets good for me. Many times my body will go for another roll over signal or mind asleep test. My body usually falls asleep fast. Yours may not but be prepared. Stay calm & clear. Although you may think your awake you might not be or vice versa.Quote:

Hm. That sounds plausible, but what bothers me is that I still lay still for minutes after that, and nothing happens. Is that normal? Is that one of the earliest 'tests' your body gives out to see if you're asleep?
Yes its fairly common for talented dreamers as your self. I say that not just in flattery. The next time this happens I suggest that you take this opportunity to practice relaxation exercises that require no movement or at least keep your awareness moving in a way that facilitates mental relaxation.Quote:

My point here is that my body fell alseep & had I not realized it was falling asleep that fast I would have said to myself wow nothings happening & quit. In reality everything was already happening & I was pleasantly suprised. =0)

I wiggled my fingers, and I could feel my bones grinding together, as if they weren't supposed to move.
Is that normal?

doesn't sound like its normal for you but I assure you its natural. Also when connective tissue/tendons shorten they can produce grinding sensations. Keep going =0)Quote:
