Just curious, my own methods don't work out too well. I get very very close, then fall apart :C
I used this guide:

And more specifically from this guide, a breathing technique where I count when I inhale, and say a mantra when I breathe out. Focusing on my breathing knocks my body out surprisingly quickly and helps you forget about all those itches and annoying sensations.
Here is my basic technique

First I relax myself. This is easy for me. I focus on my feet, and almost instantly a tingling feeling starts there. Then I work it up my body, down my arms, and up to my head. Then I'm relaxed and I just focus on not moving. Sometimes I count breaths, too, but not always. Eventually, I can feel my body sink down into SP. That part has always been easy for me.
The problem, of course, is moving on from there. D:
All I do is focus on my breathing, it's been very easy for me to get SP, but I can't get passed this step. I went into SP about 5 times last night trying to get passed it. :(
The way i do it to stay completely still and relaxed for as long as you can and eventually i start to lose the feeling of my actual body, i then bring on the noise sound and it helps with the sp, for me anyway.
Here's how I do it: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...78&postcount=7
Good luck. :D
