How can i stabilize this into a lucid dream?

I have sleep paralysis quite often. Just this morning i had SP like 5 times consecutively.

Anyway, sometimes with sleep paralysis when i try to get up, i do get up.

My real body doesn't,but i roll out of my body and i'm either floating or walking around. When this happens i can walk around but when i go a certain distance i get dragged back to my body by some unseen force ,or i instantly find myself back in my body.

One of my first experiences with this is that while in SP, i roll out of my body and i think i'm awake. I get up and walk to my closet and start getting dressed. As soon i realize that i'm not actually awake, and i'm still in bed paralyzed. Boom i find myself back in my body on my bed paralyzed. I want to transition this state into an actual lucid dream.


This always happens, but i have no idea how i can solidify this state to help it become a lucid dream.

I havent had one yet, but from reading threads on i here i have noticed alot of people have or had this same problem. I also read that you are supposed to not think about your real body in your bed, just dont do it i guess. Im thinking thats another thing that the reality checks are for. Try reading over some of the dream stabilizing techniques.

As soon as you realise you are in fact still in bed, try rubbing your hands together or picking things up and giving them a good feel. :) Some people say spinning helps but I've never tried that one. Just do anything you can to make your experience more realistic and keep your mind off your actual body.

try to grab an object, observe and feel it.

I felt like a dipshit when i tried that. It also did not work at all and i hit my head against a wall and woke up. :P

Well, they say that lucidity is fueled by how "awake" the logical part of your brain is (which is completely inactive in normal sleep) so you could start doing math in your head. When I do this, I try to present my mind with a bunch of different math/logic problems in rapid succession. I call it the 48 method because I always start It with something involving the number 48 for some reason. It also helps me keep from laughing whenever I have to struggle not to.

Why would you not want to laugh?

Probably to keep concentration while trying to stabilize the dream. You don't want to be laughing while trying to fix your dream. :P

Do a reality check every time you wake up. Remain calm.

Ok guys i just had a Sleep Paralysis t his morning and i tried some of the concentrating on an object stuff.

I was awake lying in bed awake, when i felt some energy in my chest/stomach it was kind of pulsating. Instinctively i knew this meant i was about to go into Sleep paralysis.

So after a few moments, i let it "take me in".

This time it was quit unusual because as i transitioned into the sleep paralysis i heard thunder, not in real life but in my head. It was amazing in a way. When i heard the thunder my eyes went black and when my vision returned i knew i was in sleep paralysis. Even as i looked around i could tell that my room had changed. It was not kind of digital looking in a way but still looked real. Kind of like Hi Def.

So i was looking around my room, trying to find something to stabilize this and go into a lucid dream.

Since i knew i couldn't move my body or stare at my hands to stabilize this i decided to stare at the cup and focus on that to in a way stabilize it.

As i focused on the cup is started to feel pulsating energy like i felt before i went into sleep paralysis. Except it was coming from my hands/wrist area which were paralyzed.

Also i noticed that i could still hear the radio when i was in SP, i could even listen to what they were talking about which had a calming effect on me.

Anyway the stabilizing method didn't work and i ran out of ideas on what to do since i haven't checked out this thread in a while.

When i ran out of ideas i just decided to wake myself up because it seemed useless to continue.

Okay guys i just came really close again.

I was lying in bed, when i woke up, for some reason i had a feeling that it was the right time to have sleep paralysis, so i induced SP somehow and the vibrations. I was now still looking out at my room but i noticed it had become dreamlike in appearance and i was almost completely paralyzed. I could still hear my radio still, which was comforting in a way.

Anyway, i remembered someone in here mentioning a secound series of vibrations. So i just induced them to. Like i concentrated and the vibrations came. Suddenly on my left side i noticed a blackness which was covering it. Like in my left eye. At the same time i felt a tugging on my arms and shoulders and i was waiting to enter into an LD.

It wasn't happening though, and then i heard someone yell Police in the Sleep Parlaysis. I thought it was coming from downstairs.

Since i could still hear my radio and listen to what the ppl were talking about, i thought this yell was genuine. So i decided to get up and make sure that the police weren't there and coming for me. So i got myself out of sleep paralysis and realized i was duped by a hallucination basically.

I've had more awareness and prescence of mind during this SP then i have ever had before. I was actually nearly fully aware this time and could think and i wasnt scared either.

Next time, I'm going to stay in Sp for as long as possible and not get tricked by the hallucinations again lol.

Im sure if i stuck in longer i would have gone into a dream and had an LD. I came sooo close.

Usually it shouldn't take longer than 10 or 15 seconds for the transition to the dream from SP. Next time, try raising up or rolling into the dream.
