I know that its a good idea to do so and its faster to enter, but has anyone done it without 5 hours of sleep and lucid dreamt at the beginning of their sleep? Don't say anything negative please. keep it positive.;) "I will lucid dream soon".:)

No, not the best idea in the world. The reason people aim for 4-6 hours of sleep first is because it puts them smack-dab in the middle of the longest REM period of the night. The REM period is where the vast majority of dreaming takes place, so you want to be in or near this period before a WILD attempt. That said, if you try it without sleeping beforehand, you may still experience some cool hallucinations and even a very poor-quality lucid, but nothing compared to a "proper" WILD attempt. :)
Almost fucking did it last night eh... Dreamlets were coming and going... I didn't ride any in... waiting for the "big one".

Perhaps all you need is just long enough to say, use the washroom and go back to sleep? I think the point is to be awake enough to be able to focus your mind on not sleeping while your body falls back to sleep... but not so awake that your WILD attempt is destroyed. So maybe all you need is a minute or two?
Try keeping a journal beside your bed so that, when you wake up, you can write down some notes from the previous dream and then start your WILD (the writing shouldn't take more than a minute or so to complete, but it's something to jog your brain).
Personally, I'm going to hold off on WILDing until I get a more solid occurance of LDs spawned by DILD or MILD.
It'd be pretty hard to WILD without sleeping first. I've tried it before, the most that I've experience is some cool HI and some sounds. I suggest some sleep first, or you can try it right before a nap ;)
I mean, couldnt it be a win win situation? Attempt it while going to sleep if it doesnt work it doesnt work you can just continue on to the WBTB later on in the night. Personally i do the one when i first sleep, then CANWILD, and if i mess up the CANWILD, i can just do a regular WBTB.
