      Was I close?

OK, so I was really tired after a long day of school and decided to rest for a bit. As is the case with most of my naps, I decided to try to utilize my afternoon REM cycle to WILD. After a few minutes of not focusing on anything (halfheartedly counting breaths), I began to see scenes. They only lasted a few seconds each, but I could feel my dream body moving during each one. However, I wasn't in SP... at least, I don't think I was, because I was still aware of my physical body and felt like if I tried to take control of what my dream body was doing I would move my physical body and snap myself out of it.

I think I was experiencing HI and, if I allowed it to continue, I would have eventually reached SP (but I should point out that I've never achieved full SP and therefore don't know firsthand what it's like). Unfortunately, my position was such that my head was resting on my arm and cutting off some circulation, so I was forced to shift my position to open the circulation back up, and that was pretty much the end of that.

So, my question(s): Was I close to WILDing? Is my hypothesis even close to being right? Thanks in advance

It sounded like you were close. Try to stay still next time and wait until you start seeing vivid and I mean vivid scenes. Then try to jump in it. or you could go with the safe side and let the dream take you.
