New years day, was up till 4.30am drinking... got up at 9.30 after just 5 hrs sleep. and went back to bed at midday for an hour. The most successful hour Iv had!
First off, i wasnt lying in my normal sleeping position on my back where iv had every other WILD. i was lying on my side huddled up. This wasnt even an attempt at LD, i just wanted a nap.
I could hear my children downstairs running around shouting but i was that tired i jus went off. Rather than falling asleep i was pretty much instantly SP'd. Just as i entered SP something i heard my daughter say downstairs repeated constantly, which was strange but a new one one me. As the SP stabilized it went really quiet and i found myself standing in front of a young girl, probably 12-13ish, we were having a conversation but i couldnt hear any words, or noise at all for that matter. All of a sudden She shoved me and i fell on to my bum. Just as i hit the floor i was Lucid. It wasnt very stable at all. My location when i was having convo with the girl was just a black emptiness with me and her in it.. Very odd.
After that little little delve into it i thought i'd try again. This time when i SP'd i built a random image around myself.. and found that i was in a bathroom of all places. On my own this time, no strange young person staring at me. This time it was really funny how lucidity came about, i fell in the bath. I wasnt moving or anything, i just spontaneously fell in the bath. This session lasted not very long at all either. I have a cold and i could still feel my throat tickling horribly so i coughed and woke up. After thoroughly clearing my throat i tried again and used the same bathroom and fell into the same bath lmao. I had about 5 mins of lucidity just observing my dream and looking for oddities that i can try to remember as possible DILD triggers in the future. The only one that i managed to remember was my mother-in-laws cat, usually calico coloured, it was dark brown and bright orange and its furr was textured like carpet (anyone wanna shed some light on this, tis very strange!)
I never thought it possible to have so many seperate experiences all in the space of about an hour. But something i have learned from this morning. That feeling that you get when you are falling, the one that makes you jump out of your skin when you hit the floor. If you can retain your consciousness as you enter SP. This can be a very good tool to jump into a lucid dream. Rather than waking up with a start, that mini shock when you hit the floor (or the cold bath!) can knock you out of SP and into (an albeit unstable) Lucid Dream.
Anyone who has used the falling shock or have had it happen by accident, please let me know. Everyone else, thank you for reading this mini novel. i hope you have enjoyed it, and or gained something from it
