So my clock is broken nao and i need another one (or to fix my cellphone which i'm going to do tonight but nvm). So here's the question: Do WILDS work without WBTB to an inexperienced err.. user?
WILD can work without WBTB, but it's more difficult for all users, especially inexperienced ones. The reason that WILD is best to do with WBTB and Naps is because you're extremely close to your longest REM cycle. If you do it without WBTB, then you might just have a short lucid dream at best, and it will take maybe over an hour to accomplish.
One thing you can do is REM Rebound. This is that you have less sleep the day before your attempt to WILD. The next day, you can try at nighttime where your body may try to make up for lost REM sleep.
Best of luck :boogie:
LucidityIsKey1 is right - WBTB isn't required for a WILD, but it significantly reduces the time required to initiate the dream. I personally haven't experienced this, but all of the guides and tutorials that I've read indicate this.
