      "You can get anything you want..." The Alice's Restaurant technique?

      Anyone who's ever heard this immensely long (but pretty damn funny ) song will agree with me that it's easy to get involved in. The eigheen-minute long story Mr. Guthrie tells is very interesting, and the ragtime guitar theme repeats over and over.

      As it is very easy to fall into this song, I was thinking it could be used to initiate a WILD. It should be long enough to get one into the beginning of SP, and they wouldn't want to move, swallow, or anything else that might throw off a WILD attempt. I'm guessing just two run-throughs of it would carry someone into a dream. Any thoughts?

      What you describe is essentially a VILD derivative where you use the auditory sense alone in the hopes that what you imagine becomes what you hallucinate (i.e. a dream.) I've tossed this one around myself but never really got the chance to try it.

      Well, my plan wasn't exactly to induce a VILD, rather to just make someone divert attention to let them ignore their urges to move. Still, that thought seems plausible, too.
