I suggest after 6 hours of sleep because your REM cycles get closer together. But what might work for others might not work for you. I suggest to play around with different times, and see which one works best for you :)
Different times for different people, but I would suggest 3 or 4 am.
Hey, that fits exactly with a formula I came up with: 90x+30 for a general guideline as to when one should get up in terms of minutes, with x=number of cycles.
A sleep cycle usually lasts 90 minutes, and going 3 or 4 cycles into a night might get you results.
It also works for when one should go to bed to feel awake in the morning; take the time you have to get up, and increase x until the timing fits with your schedule.
