What happened? O_O
I went to sleep quite late, around 11:30. And was woken up in the morning by sunlight seeing as I didnt close my blinds (still not fully aware), now, I found that I turned around so the light wasn't in my eyes but then suddenly became aware, I was in sleep paralysis. So, I lay there trying to start a WILD and ended up entering one of my favourite video games, at the time I can remember all kinds of feelings. But I can't say I was aware, I was consciously moving, but not lucid. Can't remember what happened after that, I must have slipped into a dream or something, or maybe the whole facade was a dream.

Were you actually IN the video game, or was it like...watching it vividly on a 3D big screen? If you went from SP to this, it could have been really vivid hypnagogic imagery. Or it could have been a dream...but usually if you are conscious at this point you would enter a lucid dream, and it seems like you entered a non-lucid dream...which makes me wonder if the video game was HI. Either way I guess it doesn't make a whole lot of difference. You need to remember to practice doing Reality Checks...this is often the difference between gaining true lucidity and slipping into a semi-lucid or non-lucid dream. Also, you might want to sleep with your blinds open more often, as the sunlight could be a helpful way for you to have an unintentional WILD in the morning if it wakes you up.

Thanks for the reply, I could feel the tactile sensations and could move around, however it was defiantly not lucid, so I can't see it being HI. I see, I find it really hard to keep committed to a dream journal, because of the short amount of time I have in the mornings and my general laziness.. And yet I have been waking up at around 4:00 every day to try and wild, (nothing yet, got into SP once but failed). And I tried reality checks for a while (month or so) with no notable success. Any advice?

Well, HI happens during the transition. You can definately have HI without becoming lucid. Like Nina stated, its possible that you witnessing the video game was some very detailed HI. You coud have failed the transition however (by losing awareness), and not made it into the lucid dream. Its really hard to determine what exactly happened without experiencing it ourselves, but one way to look at it is...you were pretty close. If you hit SP and are questioning what happened after (as opposed to knowing it was a normal dream and thats it) you got close. Just keep practicing and learn from what happened. Build that experience and use it during your next attempt. Good luck to you and just keep working at it!
