could i wake up look at my clock then close my eyes and think about my last dream and do a succesfull DEILD?
Don't know? It is different for everyone, so there is a chance it will work for you, personally if I open my eyes I can't DEILD properly, but I can move, some others find it difficult if they move though.
That requires too much motion, and opening your eyes, which is counterproductive. A proper DEILD is nothing more than a shortened WILD that takes place right as you exit a dream. That means, at the moment you wake up, you should act as if you're already a good way into a WILD attempt. I don't know if you've ever WILDed before, but doing what you mentioned in that far into things is a good way to set yourself back to square one.
As to thinking about the dream you just had. . . It isn't totally necessary for a successful DEILD, but many people choose to use that method to help ease them into reentry.
well its hard for me to actually wake up after a dream i tried using a mantra that was like
"i will wake up a 4 am" it ddin't do anything and i don't know if i woke up
and i can't use an alarm because my phone alarm has to be turned off manually
so i really need help i don't mind using the DEILD i would really like to experience SP it would be cool so can u guys help me????
Find yourself an alarm that shuts itself off. There are already a bunch of threads on it if you need help finding one.
Alternatively, you could just learn to do a straight up WILD. Of course, even then you aren't guaranteed to have a true SP episode.
but WILDs seem pretty hard and i could only do them on weekends and u have like a lot of lds and i REALLY want to have them so idk my phone is the only quiet alarm or my mom would hear my alarm and she is a very light sleeper so idk if a sound alarm would work and i don't know how to make my alarm turn off by itself send me a link to one of those threads that would be cool thaks mzzkc!
Here.
That thread should provide what you need. Read it in its entirety.
well i can't use my alarm clock cuz that also has to be manually turned off so i m getting nowhere maybe i just need a new technique and good techniques for a middle school student?
Again, that thread has everything you need. Please read it over, follow appropriate links and perform your own research from there. Your phone and alarm clock are not the only things you can use for this.
But if you insist on different techniques, consider MILD as an induction method.
well dude now an alarm for me is out of the question and im sorry if i'm irritating you you are extremely helpful so! can u give me some help on the mantra's so i can just use those please help me dreamviews is lucky to have u THANK YOU!!!!!
There are a great number of mantras you can use. It's often better to create your own, but there are a select few that are a great place to start:
- I will remember to Reality Check.
- I am dreaming.
- I will recognize my Dream Signs.
- etc.
Since you're just starting out, try to avoid things like "I will have a Lucid Dream," as it's harder for your mind to pick up on the phrase "Lucid Dream." This is because your lack of lucidity makes it a very abstract concept. For maximum effectiveness, mantras need to consist of words that already have concrete, well-ingrained meanings.
Personally, I suggest using something along the lines of "I will remember to realize I'm dreaming."
Good luck.
so you are sayying to do the mild? seems simple enough i can do RC'S in dreams THANKS BRO!
If you'd like to do the MILD, I recommend you read how LaBerge explains how to do it, with all the exercises and such. I'm not great at prospective/future memory as the MILD requires, but it might work for you. Go to page 37 at this Scribd.com version of the book and you'll find all the stuff you need. :) Good luck to you with whatever you choose!
well i couldnt really find EWLDs way how it describes it could someone describe it in better detail than the tutorial?
