Alright, this is my second FILD attempt tonight... I set 2 alarms, one for school and one for LDing so I don't wake myself up too too much, I do the finger stufff and my plan is, after 30 seconds, I'll do the breathing reality check... Good?

I'm trying the same thing.
The first time I tried a FILD, I failed, felt like an idiot when I clogged my nose by RC'ing in real life, and got pissed off.
Ah well. I probably just did it too soon.
I am going to try this now as well. So let me get this right here: wake up in early morning, don't move anything but fingers for 3-5 minutes and say "in 3-5 minutes I;m going to do a RC." Then do the RC.
Anything else?

Oh, and remember: nothing in lucid dreams is definite. There is no way to snap your fingers and just get a dream. So don't let it get you down if you fail.
BTW, you may find it easier if you wait longer. However long you think it will take you to fall asleep, wiggle your fingers that long. Otherwise, you'll do the RC when you are awake.
