Avatar

The term "avatar" may refer to any of the following:

1) An avatar, in terms of a user profile, is a picture which is displayed to the left of your posts, among your other details such as username, achievements, post count, etc.

2) Avatar is a science fiction film about humans exploring another planet called Pandora which is naturally inhabited by an indigenous humanoid species called the Na'vi. In order to acquire a massive resource of a valuable mineral deposit called unobtanium, scientists created "avatars" that are genetically engineered Na'vi bodies with the mind of a remotely located human.

3) Avatar: The Last Airbender is an animated TV show about Aang, a young monk airbender who has the ability to control all four elements and whose job is to restore balance to the world.

The last two are usually used in the lucid dreaming community as sources of inspiration for dream content due to their broad areas for imaginative reconstruction.
