++ Not adopting at this time ++
I've decided that I would like to adopt a couple of newbies!
Name: Clairity
Abilities: I am pretty good at WILDS.. but now that I said that I'll probably have a major dry spell. :P
I recall about 2 dreams a night but am just getting back into keeping a dream journal.
Interests: My family, LDing, movies, music, ballroom dancing (salsa, cha-cha, swing, waltz, etc.) and belly dancing.
Goals: To LD whenever I attempt to... still working on that secret formula! ;)
Amount of time you've been having lucid dreams: About 7 years. I have LOTS of tapes, CDs :tunes:, books :reading:, videos and products designed to help achieve lucidity (some helped/some didn't).
Other relevant information: I love to laugh (it keeps me sane) but I'm also very sensitive to how other's feel and I go out of my way to ensure that I never intentionally hurt someone's feelings by word or by deed (I expect no less from those I adopt). :)
Let me know if I'm what you're looking for in an adopter. :okbyenow:
Available to adopt a dreamer
Hello!
Are you looking for a mentor? I am looking for one or two people to "adopt."
Here's what I'd expect my ideal adoptee to be like:
1. You are 17 years old or older.
2. You believe you have some potential for lucid dreaming but have had limited experience.
3. You are a good communicator and don't have a problem sharing your emotions.
4. You have a deep enough and long-lasting enough appreciation of the subject that you expect to be interested for the foreseeable future. (This won't be a passing fad for you).
5. You have healthy skepticism and a critical logical mind -- you think for yourself and keep an open mind.
6. You do not attach the subject of lucid dreaming to mystical practices, religion, or the paranormal. You take it for what it is: the subconscious, dreaming, brainwork, entertainment, and inner-reflection.
7. You do not suffer from severe depression, schizophrenia, or anything that might impair our communication and focus on lucid dreaming.
8. Artistic types are especially appreciated.
About Me
I am a 43-year-old composer/musician. I am married and live with my wife of four years with our two cats. I'm a programmer by day, and spend most of my free time writing music.
I had my first lucid dream 10 or 15 years ago after seeing a program on television about it. At first they were very rare, but eventually they started coming more often. I most typically LD via the DILD technique, but have had a few WILDs from time to time. My DILDs are often instant flashes of realization, as opposed to using a reality-check, thought I've been trying more and more lately to remember those checks.
I am agnostic with strong leanings towards atheism. I mention this only in case this is a problem for you. (It does not bother me if you believe in God.) I also do not believe in shared-dreaming, though I'd love for it to be possible.
I am friendly, like to be helpful, and am very easy to talk to. Until very recently, I was the only person I knew who had ever had a lucid dream, so I am very excited by the prospect of sharing the experiences with others. If you think you'd like to be "adopted," and that I'd make a good mentor for you, please send me a private message, and let's start talking!

Am Willing To Adopt A Bunch Of Begginers!
Name: Andrew, Drew, Andy, or Brandon Heat
Abilities: The list is very large so I will list a few.
Flying, Summoning, Scene Change, Teleporting, Moving Through Objects,
Magic, etc. Pretty much anything.
Interests: Watching T.V., Movies, Video Games, Anime, Hanging With Friends, Football, Running, Dreaming, Drawing, and thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
Goals: Errr... Oh to help as many beginners as I can.
Time Lucid Dreaming: Since I was 4 years old so for 14 years.
When you are usually available to answer questions: Any time really I have a wack sleep schedule so I can probably catch you if you are in a different time zone. You can reach me at [email protected] for MSN chat or you can PM on Dream Views.
I SHALL LEARN YOU... or your money back!
I was once a noob... Maybe I still am, compared to what's possible with lucid dreaming. Yet, I've come a very long way, and would be very happy to help others get past whatever their difficulties are regarding lucid dreaming, and perhaps other things related. I'm not the best at actually lucid dreaming... yet, but I'm a veritable encyclopedia on the subject. If you're talking lucid dreaming, chances are I know what you're talking about. :D

NAME: My "online" name here is Richter, for a number of reasons. One, it's the name of my favorite character Richter Belmont, a slayer from Castlevania with a great backstory. Also, the Richter Scale, the measure of earthquake power. Other than here on DV, I go by Kulbara the majority of the time.
---
ABILITIES: I'm by far best at WILD and related methods; that is, entering LDs consciously, although I've had some DILDs here and there. Overall, my dream vividness is widely variable, but if I manage to become lucid, I'm quite good at controlling what I do and what I am. I dream about 1/3 of the time as a dragon, and the other 1/3 of the time as if I was 5 years old, so I have experience dreaming as personalities and bodies far different from the waking self. DCs and the environment are a bit trickier to change, but it's still possible. I'm also a greatly improved recaller of dreams. I started from absolutely NOTHING; now, I generally recall 1-2 vivid dreams nightly. I WILD about once every two weeks, though sometimes they don't last that long. I DILD maybe tri-monthly... I need improvement here, but I know EXACTLY what I must do to improve, at least. It's just a matter of time.
Overall, I can help with ANY aspect of LDing... I've seen it all at least once, I think.
---
INTERESTS: I like drawing. I should definitely do it more often, but I like it still. Music... 70's rock, techno, jazz, and disco/funk. That's pretty much it, lol. Religion, politics, technology, self-improvement, etc... I'm intersting in anything; but typically I like important things... not what celebrity married who, etc...
---
GOALS: I'd like to live a veritable "second life" through my lucid dreams. I'm a bit too infrequent an LDer for that quite yet, but I'll get there. My current goal is to have what I call an "uberwild", an extremely vivid, long, and controlled LD; basically, the perfect lucid dream. That's when I shall consider myself a true master of LDing.
I'm also wanting to help as many people as possible do the same, as I believe that lucid dreaming is the ultimate non-physical skill one can learn and perfect... It's uses are infinite. Plus it's just damn fun! :D
---
AMOUNT OF TIME LDING: Two years, on and off.
---
WHEN AM I AVAILABLE?: Practically anytime except 5-10pm central. I'm taking a break from school this semester so this is an exceptional time to adopt. I usually use MSN, but am willing to try ANY communications program, I suppose.
---
OTHER JUNK: I'm adopting to help others, but I honestly feel that adopting would help me as well. Having somebody to practice LDing with hopefully daily, would really be a boost for me, and force me to not be lazy. As the master teaches the student, the studen teaches the master.

Natural LDer seeking serious newb
My name is Meghan, or seeker28 here on DV. This will be the first time I try adopting.:)
Abilities
have LDs an average of 6 out of 7 nights a week
average just over 3 LDs a night (average includes nights I'm not lucid)
DILD, WILD, WBTB, and DEILD are my methods
Fly, manifest objects, and other dream tricks:boogie:
Interests
LDing, fiction writing, drawing, pets, medical service dogs, religion, philosophy, higher math, cult classic movies, and a ton more. I am not into sports.
Goals
increase my own control during LDs
increase my dream recall
help somebody become better and more confidant with LDing
When available for help
I am on DV about 5 times a week. I would prefer to be contacted exclusivly through this website.
I am a natural LDer. I've been having LDs since early childhood. I'm not sure when I had my first. Up until about nine months ago I thought everyone knew when they were dreaming. Then I saw a program about lucidity on TV and was surprised that it was something special. So I decided to learn to be as good at it as possible and to get the most out of my sleep, because, after all, we do spend about one third of our lives asleep! Since finding this site and learning how to induce LDs, I have been having them much more often, have increased my control during LDs, and I have gotten much better at remembering my dreams.
What I demand from my newb
1. A serious commitment to LDing. I don't want you getting discouraged and giving up.
2. Contact at least once a week.
3. Must keep a dream journal.
4. Ability to communicate in logical, complete sentences.:D
5. Be a decent human. I don't want to hear racist, sexist, or otherwise ignorant crap.
I have a "radical acceptance" approach to LDing. I am not going to be prescribing sleep schedules or routines of techniques. I will be asking my newb to do a lot of mind opening activities and mind prepairing activities.
Please PM me if interested.
