Here are some drawings of stuff from my dreams:
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...dgemonster.jpg
a wedge monster that tried to flip over my spaces ship in one dream.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...jawmonster.jpg
a blue jaw monster from the same dream. I bravely beat it off with a giant pink styrofoam Q-Tip.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ker28/megh.jpg
my outfit while I battled said jaw and wedge monsters.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...28/anapink.jpg
my girlfriend's outfit that she wore when she went out and kicked the wedge monster's but. It was especially funny because she is kind butch and never wears dresses.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...8/scan0002.jpg
a cool burning pink tree from a recent dream.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ker28/scan.jpg
a pink hotel room with a cool gold and yellow light fixture.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...8/scan0001.jpg
my dog running around with one of my cat's legs sticking out of his back.....weird.
All of these drawings are scanned directly from my DJ. I can draw better than this, really. ;)

This is from the dream I had for the Task of the Month. I climbed through the sun (it turned out to be a small hole in the sky) and above were ice and clouds. I tried to make the ice look like it did in my dream . . . not really at all like ice . . .
Thank you. The dream was much more beautiful I'm afraid. I may work on it some more . . .
Very nice, AlexLou! I love your use of color. The subtle violet color in the clouds is awesome. :goodjob2:
And finally I have another one to contribute to this thread. :)
From my Water Dragon lucid dream.

Thanks, ClouD. :)
Honestly, I wish I could have gotten the edges a little cleaner. I thought about inking the edges of the objects, but I didn't want to get an outline effect, because I thought it would kind of ruin it. It does look a little more solid on paper, though, since the light from the scanner makes it a bit lighter and fuzzier than it actually is.
I don't know if you'll take this as a compliment or not, but your work has definitely improved since you started that perspectives class, O.
I drew this horse in a lucid dream (WILD) not long ago. I decided to try to draw it in real life, too, though it looked soo much better in my dream. Also, I used a cheap pencil and printing paper. :P

I made a 'shop of Birdgirl. I painted/drew on all of the bird parts, which is why it doesn't look as real.

Me fighting werewolves, from my Bad Moon lucid. Done in pen.

(May update with a change or two, later.)
Thanks, Wesley and Elis!
And that's really hard to say, Elis. It depends on how quickly you can pick up the jist of it. Honestly, I think most of what I've done in that particular picture is a mix between natural talent and little tips I've picked up from other artists/friends and whatnot. For the most part, it's just imagining the picture in my head, and the shapes that form the basic elements (arms, legs, torsos, etc), and drawing guidelines for them for positioning (all of my pictures start out with basic shapes like circles and ovals, drawn real lightly, and then I manipulate or draw over them to turn them into actual objects).
If you have some pretty good visualization, and can see in your mind what you are trying to make, then it's mostly about having the patience to get it all down on paper. Most people stop at "stick figures" only because they don't take the time to visualize what it is they are really trying to do (how big a head should be, in proportion to the rest of the body; how an arm bends, etc.) These are all things you'll get help with, in classes, so as long as it's something you're interested in, and you really apply what you learn, I don't see how it wouldn't be worth the money.
Now that I'm back at Dreamviews, I've started updating my drawn dream journal again. Here's the drawing from my latest post.
http://fc07.deviantart.com/fs31/f/20...nthony0857.jpg
I made it in Painter X, using the sumi-e and watercolor tools. It's a drawing of an underground land I visited in my dreams last night, I've described the dream in more detail here.
You'll have to forgive me for not being an awesome artist like you all. I mean, I'm fairly decent enough at drawing people - with a paper and pencil - but most interpretations of dreams or dream scenes have been done on MS Paint, so you'll have to excuse the general crappiness of it all...
Most of what I post in this thread will also be found in my dream journal, by the way.
This is how I looked when I turned myself into a woman in an LD. I'm not the prettiest girl ever, but I looked much better than I actually do:

I saw this when I stepped out onto the porch on a false awakening. It's supposed to represent dawn (the black shadows, as you could probably tell, are neighboring houses):

These are two DC puppets who appeared in a dream. The less attractive (although rather vain) one on the left later became a real woman, and the poor blonde one had to stay a puppet:

This isn't really "art" per se, but... Hitler turned out to be alive in one of my dreams, and he took a dead President Bush's place as president. This was his "new and improved" swastika:

I'll definitely post more when the mood strikes me to make another picture. Perhaps I'll draw another dreamscape sometime.
Oneironaut, I have a few dreams I would like to draw. Seeing as you have some badass skillz, (lol) any tips on projecting the mental image to paper?

This is a picture from a dream ive had many times :P Figured id post it
That is badass, Serith! I love how busy it is. Very dream-like. Nice work!
Absolutely unforgivable!! :pissed:
Haha. Kidding. Nice work, Lezen. I really like the puppets. :goodjob2:
That's hard to answer. I suppose the best advice I could give would be to always start with basic shapes. Just to get where you want everything positioned, and an approximation of what they are going to look like. If you're drawing people, start off with light sketches of a circle for a head, maybe a rectangle or square for the body, and some circles where you want the joints (shoulders, elbows, wrists, etc) to be. Then, once you kind of get reference points, and begin to see how your picture will be positioned, start doing the details over top of the basic shapes.
I don't think I'm all that great a teacher, but that's pretty much the format I follow. :P
Not bad, smashcz. I like the layering of your colors. :)
thanks, it was a first to really use the piant tool in photoshop, i usually cut n paste
I'm really gonna have to start drawing my dreams again, I used to when I was younger.
Unfortunately I didn't enter this one into my dream journal, so I just have what I wrote about it on deviantart :( I still remember it, but it's so hazy :(

I had a weird dream about a pod of (humpback?) whales last night. It was pretty cool, very long and I even felt the splashes of water :) I had my camera in my dream, but as you can see it was night, and all of the pictures ended up blurry when I looked on the lcd, even though at some point I got my tripod out. Bummer. Then I had a false awakening and told my mom all about my whale dream before waking up for real.
I keep having dreams about photographing marine animals, and my camera always has problems :( Gonna have to turn that into a dream sign.

This is the black smoke that followed a buring piece of hail that fell from the sky like a meteor. It covered the whole city in smoke too. Sorry it's on lined paper, that's all I had. I might redraw this sometime.
