For years I walked along the solemn shoulder of the roads
Burdened souls in tainted cars endlessly passing me by
As I travelled naked on the mock filled gravel
Carrying a backpack full of trivialities and heart-ache
Under a smeared gray sky
And a sun too far away
As doubt and pessimism consumed my mind
You came to me; muse of providence and hope
And you chose to walk the path with me
Hand in hand, kindered hearts
Your smile lights my sky with stars
The sun is closer now, along with a celestial sky
With the beauteous influence of your soul
