Lies' Birth (A semi-old poem of mine)

Mirroring reflection of one's old self
ripples when the tiny speck drifts into
water.
Side by side emotions cripples like debris,
in a distance, they go farther.
Acceptance is all you ever wanted in life;
but instead you tore open your own wounds.
Staggering an uneasy breath, with knife in hand.
You just needed someone who'll understand.
One without all the strife.
Sink into you as if he/she were sand.
This poem is an understatement...
of words that had needed to be said.
No need to make a commitment.
I am but a mere, if humble, friend.
A listening ear.
Yes, I am here.
Cry onto me.
Then you'll see...
I've always been here waiting ever so patiently.
Cry, rant, and gloat my dear.

Hush now.
Nestle your arms about me.
I shall not turn away.
Promise me, before you have a second more to think,
will you stay?

See the open path of spring.
What’s the point of stalling?
Take steps to begin,
It’s the joy that you bring.
The distance keeps you calling.
That’s what makes you more than a friend.

Lingering presence of the past,
Normally wouldn’t last.
But from the contrast,
Too much. Too less.
The times were a blast.

The layers of thorns that had been filled with venom of vile words spoken,
and to the poison that struck me down with actions that could only described
as scars left onto my fragile state, and to have me tied down to the ground. . .
Where this budding rose never could see enough of the light of rays from the sun
to blossom into something much more than what it already was. . .
It was the gardener who cut the branches away, revealing the flower.

The inspiration for this one was actually from my friend. I found it wonderful that she had found love and felt it best I write her a poem to better herself to confess to the man she loved. Of course, it didn't work work out, but let's leave that little detail out, shall we? lol ;)

((Date When Written:Nov 28, 2008))

A bonfire was built from a gathering of friends we know.
In patience, the hearth grew nice and slow.
How, even now, we were amazed from the tangerine glow.

Trails we picked through an open fire,
Swinging on our tree with a rusty tire,
Risen deep like a dirty desire.

We were having fun that day.
Full of wonder and play,
I saw you glance at me in a different way.

The tire stopped in your hands.
Silently as the sun set over the lands,
Now I truly understand.

We stared at each other for a moment or two.
Finally now it has come true,
I realize I love you.

We promised to meet on the full moon.
Down, by our tree house, near the lagoon.
My innocence will be lost here soon.

You softly whisper, my dear.
So coy and beautifully clear
And told me things I wanted to hear.

Tenderly your arms grasped me.
As we join as one to be.
You are all I see.

My hair fell into my face.
We went a steady even pace.
A memory, that forever, we could retrace.

Before our good-bye we enjoyed a sweet kiss.
Lost in my own bliss,
More than anything I wanted this:

I find myself sitting alone , in my room.
I just want someone to call my own, to be my groom.
Why do I even bother to persist,
in my mind, thinking he exists?

His warmth, is felt on my lips.
Never met him, never kissed.
His touch on my face, his fingertips.
For all that I yearn, I declare a wish:

"Meet me, you lecherous man, you foul one.
You have what you want, you've stolen my heart.
What did I lose, what have you won?
Can't you see you are tearing me apart?

Every day I see you are not here.
Every day I shed a new tear.

I was told by my true birth mother,
"I grant you this, I've made you a lover."

Why then, my dearest, are you not showing your face?
Do you not know, that without you, I feel out of place?

I smiled yesterday, at that of a miracle, my mother bestowed.
After my fun, I had frowned when it melted, my beautiful snow.
"Things never last forever", if not found, my heart will be coal.
Your eyes pierce into my naked soul.

Knowing more about me, than I'll ever know.
I want it to blossom, I want our love to grow.

It's just another dream....
Until you wake me up from my sleep.
It's just another dream....
Take a flying leap,
Believe that I'm real too...

The Chalkboard

You face in front of a board with words you know are scrambled.
First you are fascinated what sentences could be formed from it.
Yet frustration soon takes over after the many failings of the meaning.
Left with no choice but to leave it behind or you’ll be left seething.
The farther you walk away from it, the more a weight carries on you.
One glance back and you knew you’d be back to wondering if it is true.
Taking a step forward and you have already taken two steps back.
An eerie silence has taken its toll but all you care about, is on the board.


An Epiphany While Sipping Tea

A curse, a gift, from the sky
Ask yourself ‘cause your wondering why
Sip your tea, time to say goodbye
Jump off the cliff, it’s time to fly
Forget regret, and start to try
Live forever, long after you die

Pitter Pat Putter
Would always cuss and mutter
When she farted another
But, alas, she could not compare to her brother
Or for that matter, her mother. . .
I really do wonder,
What might he think, her lover?
He might start to stutter
As the revolting smell drifting even further. . .

It’s not enough to make your pain and sorrow.
Feel the breeze and clean air, as you open the window.
Amongst the vast sea, past the exotic trees, is your destiny.
Sprint forward in the unknown, your true face never shown.
Your lanky legs, slender arms, and tight-toned body…have grown.
Yet even though you keep moving you’ll soon find your heart has turned to stone.

That this is actually a song rather than a poem. it's probably the longest song and without the bridge, chorus, and pre-chorus, it would've been the second longest poem I've ever written. So, here you go. Enjoy.

My point of view is obscuring an abnormal size of extreme distortion.
Your heart and soul couldn’t fit very well into this compact proportion.
I thought I could use your weaknesses for some mischievous extortion.
I find myself slowly opening up to your expression of contortion.
