Not many people know Romanian though, so there's some music on the second page

For me I'm not sure... either French or Romanian
hmmm.............. Romanian
I might be a little biased :)
Hi busher :)
This thread is not in the proper forum. Perhaps it'd be better in the main lounge area.
I'll have to vote French though :P
Yeah I guess. At first I was thinking that a language is like a form of art, but idk thats sorta weird lol
Very hard decision, but I had to pick French.
francais bein sur
Je n'utilise pas les marques d'accent. Je ne les ai pas sur mon ordinateur. :P Parle tu francais, Xox?
I like Romanian because it flows well. And they can say sentences that'd be long in English with only a few words.
Ex:
English:The coffee is pleasing to me. 6 words
Romanian: Îmi place cafeaua. 3 words
English: I saw him at the gas station. 7 words
Romanian: L-am vad la gara. 4 words
But a lot of languages do that... :P
Ich liebe Deutsch!
German does have its charm :D
... I don't wanna here it :P lol.
Um... let's see...
English: The end of the mountains. 5
Romanian: Sfarşitul munţiilor. 2
Hoho 2:5 BEAT THAT!
...wait... oh... the french was more... i should read more carefully... IN YOUR FACE THOUGH
baguette
Uhh
"Shortcuts of keyboard don't work? ..... I'm still learning French. "
>.>
I don't know how one would say the first part, the second part would be: J'apprends a parler du francais. You left out a few prepositions :P
Also, I don't know the keyboard shortucts, I only know this one because i use it at work
Eww...is that all i can choose from? Spanish is the most beautiful of those languages, but only in its latin american forms. I am almost fluent in it so i guess im kind of biased
No Italian yet???
no option for Slovak (I'm bias) so will have to go with French. Although my Dad has a house in Romania, never been there though, and never heard the language, although my Dad speaks it so couldn't say.
'The most beautiful european language"?
Do you realise the list doesn't represent even half of the languages spoken in Europe?
Lol sorry... out of the list. Unless is there a way to put in more options?
And I didn't think that anyone would vote for some of the lesser known ones too...
I don't get the fascination with French. It has to be the black sheep of the Romance language family...well, except maybe Portuguese. On top of sounding snooty and high-strung (based on my own experiences with French speakers, not the pop culture image of the French), its phonetics make absolutely no sense whatsoever; the simple logic of pronouncing what is spelled/vice-versa does not apply. It's worse than English, and that's saying a lot. (Of course, English spelling is screwed up in the first place because of French's influence.)
I choose German, personally, although Russian comes in a close second. It flows gracefully, follows its own spelling rules perfectly (with the obvious exception of foreign loanwords), and simply sounds cool. It's a lot like Old English was before French influence came and ruined it.
I love Italian. The way it sounds, it's clarity of it's vowels and connsonents and yet it's lilt lends it that romantic quality. I've been to Venice, Italy and with all the musical sounds put into phrases, it's almost like singing to me.
