However, I do go the traditional wetshaving path. I use a Merkur HD (safety razor), which might help you stop bleeding money on ridiculously expensive razor cartridges for the latest 38-blade cheesegrater they're trying to promote these days.
A box of DE blades will cost you maybe $2, and it contains about 5 blades, each of which has two sides. Since I do at least 2 passes, I can use each side for 2-3 shaves... that means I spend very little on razor blades.
I also invested in a good brush, and old school shaving cream (as opposed to that pressurized crap people slap onto their faces like retards :D). You can adjust so many parameters that you'll never go back to the old style again. Highly recommended!
