I love looking at other people's drawings and telling them what could be improved...but I can't draw very well.
What are some websites I could go to that would help me draw ANIME.
What are some tools I could use? What makes drawing easier?
Unfornuatly my scanner doesn't work so I can't upload my recent drawing...but I'll try to get it fixed soon!
go to google and look up how to draw anime. or i have a book called 'drawing on the right side of the brain' and it teaches you how to draw realistically and gives you exercises to do.plus it is a formal class you can take in college to learn how to draw so it isn't just some random theory on how to draw.it is working for me!:D
For most things I would say it's very important to work with sketches before doing anything. And when I say sketches, I mean lines, squares and ellipses.

I think most animation is done with Maya.
As for drawing. Do it in layers, start with basic geometric shapes, then subdividing them. Then do shading, then do texturing. Actually, that's also how to do things in Maya.

Made it up as far as I know. It isn't enough to say "this picture looks wrong". You have to find what in specific is wrong with it. You'll have to teach yourself to find those things, as well as how to fix them. In other words, you'll have to learn to be constructively critical to yourself. It also helps to get criticisms from other people (which I see you're doing) to help find things you didn't notice or weren't sure about.
I meant when you draw something (say a person) you draw them first as geometric shapes, a circle for a head, a box for a body, circles for eyes. This is just for proportions, then start shaping them into the person.Quote:

Maya is a 3D program... for drawing one would use Photoshop and Illustrator or, if one doesn't happen to have 2000 spare bucks to spend on a hobby and wants to stay legal, GIMP and Inkscape.

Just put in "how to draw" and then insert whatever word it is that you're wanting to draw.
the book i mentioned before starts you with the basics(like shapes and lines) and slowly works you up so you can actually start drawing correctly and accurately.i'm working on a pine cone right now....:P

It just doesn't seem like it's made in Photoshop. And if this was all done by brush and hand it just doesn't seem like it should be so perfect.
If this is done in photoshop I demand a video be showed on how to do this!

Yes, that's Photoshop. I also reckon that the basic drawing was redone in CG as vector graphics (Illustrator). Just go through countless tutorials, there's no simple easy way to do it. But it's definitely manageable. That picture isn't much different from other pics, really just try to analyze it. The one thing that makes the picture stand out is the excellent glaring lighting around the window.
