I love looking at other people's drawings and telling them what could be improved...but I can't draw very well. |

go to google and look up how to draw anime. or i have a book called 'drawing on the right side of the brain' and it teaches you how to draw realistically and gives you exercises to do.plus it is a formal class you can take in college to learn how to draw so it isn't just some random theory on how to draw.it is working for me! |

For most things I would say it's very important to work with sketches before doing anything. And when I say sketches, I mean lines, squares and ellipses. |

In order to get better you have to discover what you're doing wrong and fix it. |

I think most animation is done with Maya. |

Made it up as far as I know. It isn't enough to say "this picture looks wrong". You have to find what in specific is wrong with it. You'll have to teach yourself to find those things, as well as how to fix them. In other words, you'll have to learn to be constructively critical to yourself. It also helps to get criticisms from other people (which I see you're doing) to help find things you didn't notice or weren't sure about. |

I meant when you draw something (say a person) you draw them first as geometric shapes, a circle for a head, a box for a body, circles for eyes. This is just for proportions, then start shaping them into the person. |
