I don't know if you could call it an anchor, per ce, but for me the best way to induce a WILD is to remain conscious but passive in my thoughts.
...It might be kind of hard to explain, but the best way to describe it is kind of letting the mind go on auto pilot rather than being in control.
Try this right now: Close your eyes and just breathe in and out for a little bit. Don't think specifically of anything at all, just breathe, and see what your mind does. You might have random thoughts swim through your head, but exit as fast as they went in. You might have imagine a voice saying something, or you might ha ve your mind just go blank.
Now mind you, this doesn't mean the mind won't have THOUGHTS, it just means you aren't giving any of them any attention. You're just watching the thoughts slip in and out of your head... kind of like a movie, you just want to keep observing the scene. With practice, this method works really well for some people.
Observing your thoughts from a passive point of view... at least that's what helps me get out in the wee hours of the morn.
I think the more we can add to each others' experiences, the better.
