      WILD community:)

Hello everybody. I was just looking at all of the threads where people are having trouble WILDing. I had the idea of creating a "WILD family" where basically, we all just share our advice, experiences, questions, and just get to know each other

The first thing I would like to add to this thread is that http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/how-wi...ml#post1559356
Should be read be everybody. There are tons of different anchors to use, I was thinking that it would be cool for everyone to share their anchors and what not.

      -Hello and welcome!

That's a good idea, just like a group of mentors-WILDers? Maybe you could assign different people to address different types of problem based on their strengths or something? Sounds like a good idea though, I'll follow this thread

Yah, I was thinking that later down the road, if good WILDers show up, I would ask them to help out of differnt parts of the technique.

I'm all for this, as recently I've begun to WILD frequently... 4-5 nights a week if I use the sleep, get up for a short time, and go back to bed method.

I don't know if you could call it an anchor, per ce, but for me the best way to induce a WILD is to remain conscious but passive in my thoughts.

...It might be kind of hard to explain, but the best way to describe it is kind of letting the mind go on auto pilot rather than being in control.

Try this right now: Close your eyes and just breathe in and out for a little bit. Don't think specifically of anything at all, just breathe, and see what your mind does. You might have random thoughts swim through your head, but exit as fast as they went in. You might have imagine a voice saying something, or you might ha ve your mind just go blank.

Now mind you, this doesn't mean the mind won't have THOUGHTS, it just means you aren't giving any of them any attention. You're just watching the thoughts slip in and out of your head... kind of like a movie, you just want to keep observing the scene. With practice, this method works really well for some people.

Observing your thoughts from a passive point of view... at least that's what helps me get out in the wee hours of the morn.

I think the more we can add to each others' experiences, the better.

I am totally in hello new family
If you want to check out my checklist click right HERE

If a man believes his dream is his reality when he wakes up is this now his dream or does he believe he hadn't been dreaming at all?

I must be missing something here as there is a forum for this called Wake Initiated Lucid Dreams (WILD)

Do you mean to say that this is in the wrong section, or that this thread is pointless? Either way, if you don't want to join then don't.

Thank you very much for posting this. I think I understand what your doing. I will experiment with this for sure.
How long after sleep do you wake up? And how long does it take you to transition?

Im just confused and baffled by this thread. The WILD sub-forum to me is a family of people where we can get to know each other and ask questions, learn, share advice and experiences. I don't see how I can join something that I am already a member of. Clearly I have offended you which wasn't my intention. I'm just airing my thoughts... Hope you have a great day.

No no, I'm not offended. I just see these "help with WILD" or "how do you transition" type threads all over the site. I thought that if I created this thread, it would attract a lot of new WILDers, thus, finding all of the questions and answers in the same thread. Idk, maybe it was not the best idea, but I think it will help in some way.

Well to be honest, my WILDs are going through a transformation right now as I've just started getting serious about inducing them and I've put my self on a sleep routine.

However since being on the routine, I've had WILDs every damn night. Between my last post (which I wrote after waking up for a spell), and THIS post (now I'm up for the day), I had two shorts WILDS after going back to bed.

When I get up I'm normally up for 30-50 minutes. I'm going to experiment with 10-15 minutes awake over the next few days as well. When I lie back down it can take anywhere form 30-45 minutes to induce my WILDS, but like I said, I'm currently in a phase of shaking off a LOT of rust. (And i'm still going through a Marijauna detox. I've been a heavy smoker for almost two years, and it's going to take me a week or two to really clear out the THC as well.)

As I hammer out and fine tune my technique more I'll tell you what I learn.

I'm a highly experimental WILD-er myself. One of the things that's been working for me is what I call a repeated induction wild. I used to WILD by going into a trance via hypnosis (self-hypnosis, look it up please don't wanna explain) but after the initial induction I'd often fall asleep. So I just alternate with relaxation techniques, deep breathing, and visualization, through a little cycle. I haven't gotten a chance to try it properly yet because my dog woke me up stupid dog lol. Anyway, what I do best is coming up with different tactics for it, and most of them have at least limited success

Im still trying to find a good anchor for me. I have tried white noise, pain, breathing, focusing on body, and a few more. I think that most peoples problems come from anticipating the WILD, or waiting for something.

I like this idea! I'd definitely join. Maybe a few of us could talk to Ninja or whoever on getting us our own group, and section of the forum that is hidden unless you're in the group (Just like the deep dreaming section) <--I believe it's called deep dreaming, not sure.

Waiting for a reply from Ninja. In the mean time I will post something that worked for me the other night.

-In all the WILD thread and advice tips I read from people, they all say to stay awake for 5 minutes up to an hour in your WBTB WILD. I did an experiment the other day that got me into SP really fast. I set my alarm for 6 hours after going to sleep (allowing 25 minutes for me to fall asleep.) My alarm went off, I slapped my self on the cheek (Yes I really did this, not to hard though.) I turned my alarm off, got into a comfy position and began to count my breaths, not with to much focus but just enough. SP came over me within 20-30 seconds. I waited in SP for a while but nothing at all happened, I tried a few methods of going into a dream but they all failed, so I just got out of SP and went to sleep normally.

What do you classify as SP? That doesn't sound like a typical sleep paralysis experience lol

      What did you feel?

You should read this guide I read yesterday. I'll get the link and post it here in a minute. It's really helpful

Here: He mentions BillyBobs in the beginning. Read his first, there'll be a link

Please humor me, I'm not doing this to insult you, I'm just doing a sort of 'research' if you will.

Research my ass. I know when someone doesn't believe something. SP for me is being numb to a point where it feels like my body is not there.. Or idk how to explain it..uhm kind of like your in a full body cast and you can't even feel yourself breathe.
