I've read that Cannabis counteract dream recall and also mess with REM sleep, and i can speak from my own experience that, that seems to be true. I used to smoke cannabis quite alot and during those periods of heavy smoking I could'nt remember my dreams at all. But hey what do i know?
My first post! Hello I'm Magnus from Sweden, but please call me Mange ;)
Another weed thread . Marijuana will not aid in Lucid Dreaming; it will only make it harder, but not impossible.
well i actually discoverd first hand that it makes recall impossible and as far as i know i didnt have any REM. notto be tried again since LD is much more fun then being high
For me it aids in the sense that I have trouble relaxing when going to sleep sometimes. If I have a little bit then I'll relax quicker and my recall doesn't seem to be affected at all (though I've never had an LD after smoking, I've also only had 4 or 5 total LD's--make of it what you will). If I have a ton though I just conk out into a deep non-REM sleep. So my conclusion is this: a little bit goes a long way if you want to relax, but other than that it won't help you.
i dont bother with it in real life at the moment any more, although i used to get lucid while smoking sometimes, these days i have more joy without it. however have a good toke once you get lucid and it can act as a great dream stabiliser, and also will stop you from wanting it in reality
i just quit smoking about 2 or 3 weeks ago, almost instantly i noticed my dreams were more vivid and memorable, and they have been every night since then. that's just me.
