Keeping your eyes isn't that important still works well without, but you cant move too much. Its the same feeling as wilding only sped up a bit. With wilding you see shapes which form a picture and then the feeling and noises start to come in, with deild it can all happen in a space of seconds.
What's really good is if you can set an alarm to beep for a second at one point during the night (CAT guides good for this sort of stuff) to act as a kick to wake you a bit
The next level of that is to train your body to naturally wake up after each sleep cycle. I did this last year for about a month (have no idea how, it just started happening when i wanted it too) but it comes at a horrible price, being woken up 3 times a night is sooo not worth it. Works wonders though! :)
