5 years no lucid dreaming

Hello everyone i decided to give lucid dreaming one more last try, because im getting tired and so this is my situation
Dream journals and reality checks are absolutly useless. I have amazing dream recall, i remember how i felt, what my intentions were in my dream, i even remember dreams with more than 5 scenes after each other with every detail, i've been practicing that for more than 5 years. I remember a dream that i dreamed when i was something like 5-6 years old with all details. The only time i had lucid dream was something like 6-7 years ago and i woke up after 2 seconds (thats when i learned about lucid dreaming) SP and WILD do not work i just go to dreaming state and thats it.
How should i proceed?

Have you thought about what you can change in your practse and what it is that might hinder you from getting aware in a dream.

Like when you go to bed, how stressed you are while going to sleep etc.

To me it sounds like you gave up on the WILD too early. When you do a WILD you don't go to the unconscious dreaming state, that means that you got unaware.
WILD is that you stay aware all the way through and most of my lucid dreams have been DEILDs so I would give that method a new chance, it does work with a little practise.

And you never mentioned the WBTB technique, have you ever tried that?`(You probably have, but still got to ask.)

For general dream awareness it's actually counterproductive to got to bed with a too strong intention to lucid dream, one needs to maintain a clear and peaceful state of mind before going to sleep to increase the chances of a more still and less chaotic dream that is easy to become more stablely aware of.

If you remember your dreams you are aware, but if you have a stressed mind it can work against you.

So are you a stressed person? Do you go to bed too late? Is your sleeping environment sound?

Don't keep a dream journal just to record dreams, use it to evaluate your attempt as well.

This way it might go like this instead:

Without evaluation - "Ok I have done reality checks for the whole week and I didn't got any lucid dream, so they clearly doesn't work..."
With evaluation - "Ok I did reality checks for the whole week, but maybe that reality check isn't the best for me I'll change to the noseplug reality check!"

Next day:

Without evaluation: - "Nope nothing tonight either.. I might give up.."
With evaluation: - "Wohoo I did the noseplug reality check in my dream and it worked better and I got lucid!"

It can go differently, but I hope you see my point ;)

So don't look back, look forward and try to see the solutions instead of the problems. :meditate:

Sounds like somewhere something went wrong and you started believing, that things that are important for lucid dreaming are absolutely useless. You have also lost the most important things for having lucid dreams - the intent, the excitement, believing in yourself and positive attitude.

I would suggest going back to basics. Forget about what you were doing until now and how you were thinking. Start anew. Re-read the tutorials (we have some new and improved ones). Pick a method, join a class for it if you want to for personalized guidance.

If you not writing in your DJ, than yes, they are useless. Writing your dreams down serves more purposes, than just being able to read your dream later. Most important purpose is, that it makes you think about your dreams more often and that tells your brain that dreaming and remembering them is important to you.

RCs are also not useless, if you do them the right way. You add some daytime awareness to it and lots of emotions.

SP is not part of any induction technique, so waiting for it to work is fruitless.

WILD is an advanced technique, I would recommend you start with DILD.

I have realy hard time falling asleep ever since little, now its better but still not as easy as other people fall asleep. Also i go to bed late around 1-2 am maybe thats it but i doubt it and the thing i have most problem is keeping focused. I can keep focused for 30 mins but the longer it takes i get realy tired and i just wanna let go and fall asleep. Also i wake up almost every morning right after 6-7 hours of sleep and for the next 2 hours im half asleep, i still remember dreams.
I will try WBTB for a week and write back.

Ok I think you might have to adjust the bedtime then.

Just something to consider.

If I go to bed after 22:00 my success rate of lucidity decreases, I have seen that in my dream journal.
Although it's not really about the bedtime, but your sleep pattern in general, so make sure it's regular and that you get enough sleep.

But to make sure, just try to go to bed earlier for a couple of nights and see if you notice any difference.

If you have trouble keeping focus, my suggestion would be to either start meditation I have a short guide in my dream journal of important things I have learned sice I began or take a break for some weeks. You still now what lucidity is so there is still a chance for you to become lucid, but if you get stressed out about it, it can actually do more harm than good.

If you think Dream Journals and RC's are useless then you are looking at their use the wrong way. Keeping a daily dream journal is more important than you know. It's a great method to seeing your dream signs, reoccurring things in your dreams they help you spark your lucidity. With your dream journals you can read through your dreams and find key elements that you recognize in multiple dreams that can help you spark that lucid moment. Also Reality Checks are very helpful, i've had many experience where i've done a reality check thinking I was just doing a simple RC as normal to find out that I was actually dreaming. The pattern of doing it daily in waking life crossed over to the dream state after practicing it for many months.

Also how many dreams do you currently remember every night? You should get yourself to the point where you can easily recall 1 - 2+ dreams every single night before you are going to have a good chance of a successful LD. If you can't remember your dreams then you could have a LD and not even remember it!

Before going to sleep you should know you are going to have a LD, expecting to have a LD is a big factor in helping you have a successful LD, saying your Mantras is a big help and is something you should do while you are going to sleep as well.

Not sure, but I have a feeling that you are trying to WILD as you going to sleep at night, not after at least 4.5 hrs of sleep. If that's the case, you should not WILD at that time.

I am giving dream journal second chance, i've never stopped doing reality checks, but i never do them in dream state. I call my dreams scenes, because alot of times those "scenes" are connected into a story. but usualy i remember 2-3 scenes, now i will try for more

no, i execute WILD exacly how its said in the guide. I decided to start from the scratch and do everything and try even more.

I think RCs are critical for DILDs. Here are a couple points I have figured out...

1. Perform your RCs actually thinking you will fail the test and prove you are actually dreaming. Be surprised you are awake, not the other way around. The best RC is holding nose with mouth closed and try to breathe.

2. Perform your RCs when you see something unusual that gives you an emotional response (even if just a slight feeling). Although your logic is turned way down in dreams, your emotions are full throttle. So, a beautiful sunset that makes you think 'wow' will work. But even lesser ones...2 days ago in a dream I saw a feather floating in the air, and thought 'oh, thats unusual!' I decided to RC as it gave me a slight feeling of unusualness.
