CAT modified technique
Hi! Do you know CAT technique ?
well, if you dont want to lose 90 minutes of sleep every other day, i think you can do this variation, which probably many of you already do :)
- keep a strict sleep schedule on non weekend days
- when you wake up, in the next 2-3 hours, try to reality check as often as you can*
- on weekends, go to bed at usual time pretending you will wake up at usual time, but sleep for more 2-3 hours, like you canot help but sleep
I think this might be effective, your brain is primed to «wake up» earlier and perform massive RC at the time you are extra-sleeping, so increasing the chance of lucidity !!
You dont have to wake up like WTBT.
* i suggest watching your hands and asking « am i dreaming? or where am I ?.. » i find it easy to perform anywhere, anytime

Sounds like a good idea, I'll have to try it. Has this worked for you?

yes ! last weeks i had 2 LDs on the days i missed faculty :cheeky: and that was also the case for Daniel Love, who later created CAT. today i had another LD ;)
i have a very regular sleep schedule which is the basis of the technique. as for RC i dont claim to do it very often, just normal, but it can only help.
i think with this modified tecnhique at least you increase the chance of having LD on weekends, without loosing 90 minutes of sleep everyday other day( therefore loosing some potential for LDs )

Dang, the only down side I guess is the amount of time it takes for this to set up.. I'll still have to try it anyways

Thanks for sharing this nice adaptation!
