Would this count as attaining lucidity?

So last night I was having a dream in which I was getting chased by someone and I realized that I wasn't getting chased. I was in bed sleeping, dreaming. Then as soon as I said "Wait a second, I'm dreaming." There was a flash, and my hand turned to bones. I was trying to change what was going on but couldn't. I was listening to some binaural beats. Would this count as attaining lucidity and how can I control what's going on?

Lucid dreaming simply means that you have become aware that you are dreaming. It doesn't mean you have control of what goes on. You can, but that's not what lucid dreaming means. So if you became aware that you were dreaming, then yes, you had a lucid dream.

Yes, it was a lucid dream since you realized it was a dream. Once you get lucid, you can do stabilization techniques so you are grounded into the dream. If the dream is more stable, you have a better chance to actually do things without the dream falling apart. As what the previous poster said, lucidity is not equal to control, so don't worry if you couldn't do much at first. Generallym dream control gets better the more you try. Try to look around the dream control part of the forum for ideas.
