LDman, when I said "my kid got scared", I meant it! That was not a metaphor or anything, I slept in the same bed with my son the last three nights, and the first one he woke up scared from a dream. :)
So, even though I know the feeling of getting scared from a thought, I have yet to experience in daydream.

If I'm in a very deep Day dream then it doesn't even matter if my eyes are open because I'm not aware of the fact I'm stil looking around.
I prefer LD to LDD since LD is more realistic. But since I am doing LDD naturally (only on two ideas), any idea how to apply it to transition to LD?

Im hoping this can become a bridge for me to delta lucid dreaming. I've had past experiences at night when I would doze off when putting my kids to bed and woke up seconds later with a clear dream scene in my head (not daydreaming)
But the experience of having the autopilot engaged was the most curious thing for me, at least for now. I just want to make it last longer. If that's posible, this could really be dream "on demand", even as pointed out, when riding the bus or at any other boring real life situation.
Well, something to report.
Before anything, my concrete technique to daydream is to lay in bed, head up, arms to the sides, straight position. Then, being a Monroe follower, I say in my mind the Gateway Affirmation ("I am more than my physical body...") just in case. And then I start to imagine as vividly as possible my journey. I start in a place probably related to something I observed during the day, but the scenery is rapidly changing as my subconcious takes charge. The time for this is, right now, undetermined.
The night before I didn't even tried, I was too tired, so I went straight to sleep.
But yesterday I started as usual, only this time my subconcious took charge pretty quick, in about 2 minutes,started controling the scene and changing venues, the quickest reaction I've ever had. And after a while, I got lost, probably asleep. I don't remember anything more. (This was around 1:40 AM)
But then, a regular dream. It started as a regular dream, with more or less usual actions and situations, and later on it turned to a nightmare: I found myself escaping from what appeared to be "Homeless ninjas" that wanted to kill us or at least beat us a lot (Me and my sister).
My sister already turned into a brother I've never had (?) and I lost track of her, and I found myself lying in the dark, trying to evade those suckers kicking around like Bruce Lee. At some point I even saw scriptures overlayed on my vision field with "words of wisdom" those fighters would live by... (pretty bizarre)
As I had hidden in a corner completely dark, one of them kept throwing a boomerang (Kungfu + Boomerang???) at me in hopes of luring me out of the dark or hitting me. I was shitting bricks when it hit me: "This much terror? In real life? I bet this is a dream... But feels so real, it couldn't possibly be." Then I remembered the "wanting to wake up" neccesary sometimes to wake, and it didn't worked so fast, so I had time for another thought "So if this is not a dream, and sure not real life, what the fuck is this???"
And then I woke up (3:30 AM), but knowing what was, I kept myself frozen, didn't open my eyes, went over the dream (with several "acts") mentally, readying myself to write it down, and that's it!
FIRST LUCID TIME.
I hope it's not the last.
