iWatch vib technique?
Hi, i have a new iwatch and i can get it to vibrate every 15 mins onto my wrist. If i spend a few weeks performing a quality reality check every time it vibrates then could this help to obtain lucidity when dreaming.
I would wbtb and then set iwatch to vibrate each 15 mins (im confident that i would be asleep within a few mins and extremely high chance that id be in rem 10 mins after that) Would this technique actually work by feeling the watch vibrate whilst dreaming?
Thanks guys ;-)

I'm in the same case than you, with the same questions, exept that I have a mutewatch instead of iwatch.
One night I did 2 lucid dreams, because my watch was on the bedside table, and I've probably heard it while REM (I didn't notticed the sound) but my unconscious brain made the association, the link between the single short vide of the watch, and mind awareness.
I use one short vibe every 20 minutes during the day.
At night, I turn off the automatic mode and program the watch to vibe on 6h, 6h20, 6h40, 7h... to hit the REM spot.
I'm still beginning in LD, so I can't tell more about my experience.

don't forget to try wearing it on your ankle. I don't have a vibrating watch
but I would start with the ankle myself, I have heard it is better, in the dream
you will be walking along and suddenly you have feet problems or an earthquake
strikes or some such it what I have heard reported. Then you still have
to realize and do a reality check in the dream, unless you just instantly know
you are dreaming.
If your going to go for the ankle of course train that way too :) you'll have to
wear it on your foot by day :)

you could be interested in this thread :

and also this one :
http://www.dreamviews.com/lucid-aids...iscussion.html
About the 1st thread, I just started to do some tries with my own way of doing it, not much far away from the original technique.
I describe this here : http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...ml#post2165560
And two post later my very first feeling (a kind of preview of my future real tries).
the interesting thing is that tolerance to the signals that are supposed to interrupt REM sleep will be increasing during the process.
I have read a scientist study about this, REM sleep deprivation by repeated interruptions leads to a need of stronger and stronger stimulus in order to be able to wake up the dreamer.
If the stimuli doesn't wake up the dreamer, it will be very likely to be incorporated to the dream scenario or ignored, but if it is well calibrated, it could lead to exploitable FA.
However, the increasing tolerance could stay a main issue.
The technique described on the first thread could avoid this tolerance issues

it is a web site that allows you to play repeatedly a segment of a YouTube video, I cut a piece
saying something like "you'll recognize that your in the and can take concious control" it plays on a loop
at a fair volume. But on top of it I play white noise set to end after like 80 minutes or whatever
when falling asleep I just hear the white noise, but once asleep (assuming my computer doesn't
decide to restart or loop the tube doesn't jam, suddenly the underlying message is revealed.
Several times It has been in the dream as like an audio or a movie or radio or TV playing, but only
once did I become lucid. Listening to an entire message on Stabilization repeat at least twice in
one dream word for word and perfectly understandable should qualify for stupidest ways missed
becoming lucid :)
LoopTheTube - Loop Parts of YouTube Videos
be sure to adjust the relative volume to almost completely mask the delayed message

sometimes I even play multiple loops at the same time makes it easier to mask and more dream like
when it pops out of the white noise during sleep

Interesting technique, will probably try in few weeks.
