Focusing on the breath
Iv been meditating on and off for 3 years now for 10mins a day.To incorporate more meditation time iv decided on something new.
I spend between 1 and 4 hours a day on my Xbox.People say that gamers tend to be better at lucid dreaming but I disagree because as I turn my Xbox on I'm in my living room and then when I'm in a game in literally in the game and have forgotten about where I actually am.
My goal is to play my Xbox as usual but practising on keeping some of my attention on my breath? But having some attention on my breath whilst having alot on the game...is that meditating....my understanding is that meditation is kind of like single pointed attention? Maybe it's not meditating but maybe just more awareness? Any tips or info would be appreciated thanks =D

I would call this awareness, rather than meditation, since meditation requires silencing your mind (hardcore gamer here, very hard to do mid-sesh). I've also tried this in the past back when I was religiously practising the All Day Awareness technique. It's hard to do but if you can pull it off it will benefit your general awareness. I found it very mentally draining, personally. I would put things "on hold" when gaming, then resume when I had finished because it was too much.

Yeah it's near enough impossible especially playing games like pubg lol iv realised getting into a trance like state during meditation before sleep works for me...tried it a few times and has worked =D
