My method, not easy, but brings amazing lucids
Ok, I've been working on alot of different experimentation on what causes me to have more lucids. Although I did not record most of my findings here as I found most of them inconclusive, it appears I may have a method that works better then anything else I can think of.
First off, I want to mention side things I use thoughout most of my lucid nights. I take 50mg of b6 once or twice a day, usually a few hours before going to sleep, and sometimes in the morning as well. This hasn't really helped me to induce LDs, but it does seem to make the ones I have much clearer. I would put b6 down as something inconclusive where I've still had very good LDs without it.
Another thing I usually do before going to sleep is have a cup of mint tea. This seems to work wonders on making sleep more smooth for me. Otherwise I just crash and have a sleepless night, but something in the mint helps me to concentrate. Its just good stuff for relaxin and shit.
I decided to give physical exercise a shot and my result at first was very good, but later on I decided that all it does is help my sleep to be shorter and more regenerative. I've seen NO evidence of it helping me to LD.
One of my most promising things is sleeping twice a day, I sleep about 4-5 hours at night, and 3 or so on the couch during the day. This has been hit and miss... but I found that late at night I somethings WILD with ease and almost have OBEs whenever I do this. I still can't say though this method has success all the time.. I'm weighin it at about 30% success right now, and I think its dependent on the next thing I mention.
THIS one i've thought about many times and made note of whether it works or not. I'm seeing between 90-100% success depending on the level its done... so heres what is is.
This is going to sound dumb, and I dismissed it for months. It seems that whenever extreme mental concentration is exercised at any time of the day, at night the most amazing LDs happen. And sleep time is no issue either, i've seen amazing LDs after only 3-4 hours of sleep.
So what sort of cocentration would do this you ask? Well, since i'm a procrastinator, I always push off doing my homework, and I tend to have to do alot of accounting homework which takes a solid 2-3 hours of uninteruppted work. I've had amazing LDs after working till 2-3am and only sleeping till 6am.
So why did I write this just now then if I've noticed the effect? Simple, yesterday I had to take the fucking SAT. I was there from 7:30AM till 12:30PM, I hate it, but it takes up lots of time and concentration. I then went to my cousin's later in the day, chilled there till about 12 midnight. Went home, had a cup of mint tea and some b-6, tryed to get OSx86 up and going again. I then went to sleep and had the most amazing LD I've had this year.
You could be saying that its many other things.. but I don't ever push myself at school, so I wouldn't call that concentrating, however on tests and reports that get overdue, I need to exercise alot more concentration.
I even noticed the night before the SAT when I had studied, I had stronger dreams and semi-lucids then I would normally ever get. I'm assuming that it stimulates brain waves or something and really gets dream activity up.
I hope this thread can be of help. I'll continue experimenting and see if new methods can get this to work even better.
