I found my problem!!!
Okay, I finally found out why I haven't been able to fall into my dreams (WILD). It is because, whenever I try to relax, my eyes cannot stay still. Whenever I do get them to stay still, my eyelids float open. I have tried a sleep mask and it doesn't help. Can anyone help me get my eyes to stop moving!? I also need them to stop moving because I am getting into AP and I have to be totally still. Thanks for the replies!

Sounds odd, I mean REM (rappid eye movement) is nothing you can stop but as you describe it, it's like your eyes are moving (on their own) before you enter dreamland?
If I were you, I would try to focus on an inner light (candle) or something that is placed about 2 arms length away from me as I do my WILD technique. Maby this can trick your eyes to stay still?
I guess we all have something that buggs us one way or another. Personally I'd like to find a solution to the utterly disturbing seagulls outside my window...
Good luck to you Savannah.

Use imagination/autosuggestion to make your eyelids heavy and stay closed. Suggest high level of dizziness and sleepiness, making your eyes very tired. If you're good with autosuggestion and the like you might be able to shut your eyes so that you won't even be able to open them by will.

I'd suggest focusing not only on physical relaxation but mental as well.
Eyes stay closed in a relaxed state as we sleep. A possibility as to why they float open is anxiety. I'd say that downcentering anxiety and relaxing mentally along with physical relaxation would help prevent this. And don't focus on your eyes; can cause the same effect I'd say.
