Most of my recent lucids have been audio induced (AILD). Look in my dream journal and you'll see how many were triggered by audio files. Each person does it there own way. Some try when they go to sleep, others like myself prefer the WBTB method. Wake up in the middle of the late night and play a file and let it loop until you wake (enough to cover the last rem periods). The file usually has brainwave entrainment tones, theta with delta possibly. Also it should contain some scripts for autosuggestion with statements telling you that you are dreaming, this is a dream, do a reality check now etc. Typically if your volume is correct, those statements come into the dream. Be warned, in the dream your brain will try to come up with a reason why your hearing that file and can trick you.
cool, cool, but I'm curious though I've tried programs such as Brain Wave Gen and to me it just reminds me of when I did an hearing aid test and keeps on making me think I should push some random button lol is there a way on hearing before going to sleep? cuz I usually have loads of trouble relaxing therefor find it usually quite hard to get to sleep and just sleep for 3-4 hours wake up without having experienced any dream sessions (this could also be caused by my ammount of coffee/diet pepsi I drink before I goto bed I drink roughly 3-4 cans per day :| ) then sleep for another 3-4 hours and thats when I usually have my dreams and such
