Yeah, it is a nice technique. There is a similiar technique on the forum called reversed blinking. Maybe you can do a search on that and see.
Also, there's something else, your mind is very suggestive so trying to trick your mind like this is something that people often miss so that's a nice idea you have.
For me, there's other trick-for-your-mind-relaxing technique that actually put me in a Sleep Paralysis really fast. In a deeply relaxed state, I pretend I am struggling to get up because I "experience" a very fearful SP... twitching my muscles in order to get up, but not actually move my body so my mind thinks I am in a sleep paralysisd and hence slap me into that mode. It works too well sometimes haha. Very useful. I also use a lot of emotions in it so it convince my mind that I am experiencing a bad SP hence it forces me deeper in a SP; hence, producing a better condition for WILD-induced dreams.
Tricking is a tricky thing to do, but once you understand the concept of it, you can basically speed up your techniques that way including WILD. ;)
