WILD Tech - Daydreaming method - To SP
Let me say a few things first. I did not intend to post this tutorial here, but I could not post in the tut section. I have had a few ask me my technique, so instead of literally telling each person, I would rather have it documented. Let me add that I have not been successful in reaching to the dream world through WILD, however I AM able to reach SP at will. Most people have difficulty reaching SP, so that is why I find my method useful, rather than a counting method. <- Just keeps me awake the whole time, and irritated.
So then, moving on to the method. I call it the daydreaming method for a reason. The reason being is that you simply imagine a fantasy, like a story in your head, playing. I haven't gone into great experimenting on which kind of daydream works best, I would say one that you can interact easiest. A few variables that you need to be aware of.
-You need to lightly apply conscious thinking to your daydream.
-Sexual fantasies may not be the best way, I never do it this way.
-Adventure based daydreams are probably the best for distracting your mind to fall asleep.
The trick is, is to literally follow the daydream consciously for as long as you ever did before, rather than trying to fall into sleep with it. For me, I imagine my old school, and I am running from a guy trying to kill me, so I imagine myself entering all the different rooms, hiding from him, maybe even shooting him with a paintball gun. Unusual, but it works. Sometimes you may find your daydream shifts to other things, weird things you never consciously created. This is fine, because the trick of this method is to keep the mind awake for as long as your daydream allows, until you slightly fall asleep, then BAM SP! It definitely startles you, because you usually fall asleep after a bit, but just before SP happens, therefor you are half asleep when entering SP.
This may vary for people, I as a kid always experienced scary SP events never knowing what they were. This was a result in too much daydreaming before falling asleep. It is sort of like trying to stay daydreaming consciously as long as possible, not letting go, until eventually you do. The goal is to reach the "near point" of SP, so that you may be startled awake by sensations and loud noises. It is not very common that I daydream the entire time without falling asleep, I usually do but I am still awoken by SP.
A good daydream scenario would be:
-Flowing, like flowing for me would be doing flips dodging food plates in a food fight. It must flow, low mental work is crucial.
-Adventurous so that you don't lose interest, and you don't lose things to do.
-Big places, meaning try and start off your daydream with maybe a well-known place, the larger the better. (Thats why my old school is perfect, I remember mostly every room on every floor visually.)
-Not a lot of speech, I am not saying it is bad to have speech, just a lot of movement to stimulate senses is good.
-Visualize, make sure you visualize the building as best as you can while staying relaxed. This isn't extremely important if you know the building very well, but it can help keep the mind awake longer. (Optional.)
With all this, I say good luck, and move this to where ever it belongs. Remember :
The goal - To keep the mind stimulated, awake, and not bored for as long as possible. The only way to do this through daydreaming is by creating a brand new fun adventure each time. It is up to you to create scenarios and find what works best for you.
