WBTB wild advice

I have been seeing a lot threads recently asking how to know if someone is in sleep paralysis. I want to give some advice on what works for me when I try to wild. First I want to say that there is no need to be in SP at all. Everyone has different feelings before entering the dream and many people fail at understanding this.
Personally I don't get sucked into any dream scene or anything drastic like that. 90% of my WILDS start with a False Awakening. For example, this morning I was woken up by my girlfriend going to work. I went to the bathroom, laid back down and relaxed. Many people mistakenly think that they need to not move at all in order to wild. This is in a way true, but it all really depends on how tired you are. You can be wide awake and lay still for an hour and not have a WILD...OR you can be extremely tired and lay still for 2 minutes and have an amazing WILD. The main point of the WILD is to fall asleep while aware so don't focus too much on staying still because it will only keep you awake.
Once relaxed and ready to sleep keep still and begin any technique you have.(If you are uncomfortable than move!!!! you will be less tired the longer you stay in an uncomfortable position)

Some examples of techniques I use that work great:

• Imagine myself rubbing my hands together in mid air.
• Grab the air in front of my(not with your real hands but with your mind)
• Stay aware enough until I hear rushing noises or any noise really(Once its over I open my eyes and do a RC)

All three of these work for me 90% of the time. They work because you will feel yourself actually doing these things with your dream body once you are in a dream. Don't be afraid to do something crazy like grab the air with your real hands if you feel a shift. By shift I mean a change in your general position or a feeling of not being alone in the room. These often mean you are in a dream. I used to make the mistake of doing nothing and I would lose the dream.

This morning, when I felt like I was in SP ( didn't get any vibrations or that ear beeping I normally get ) I moved my "real" hand, or so I thought.. It was my dream body I think.
( I am pretty sure it was because my hand went straight through all of my blankets with ease)
Does this differ then imagining it?

I keep kicking myself ( this was my first WILD this morning ) and it was an FA.. I did not do a RC :(

And this advice helps a lot :D When I start the technique, say imagining of rubbing my hands together, are they going to magically lift? I visualized myself running once and my leg moved so is this sort of the same?

Its the same thing as the running. Imagine rubbing your hands and after a while, when you are in the dream(or close), you will feel your hands actually rubbing together. At this point, wait a few seconds and do a RC. I pinch my nose and breath. If I can still breath then I open my eyes and I am in my dream room.:banana: If you are not 100% sure and you dont want to move just yet, close your mouth and try to breath through your mouth.

Will I only be in partial paralysis or full when I do this?

Partial meaning just numb and able to move

Full meaning you can't move and you are hallucinating and have vibrations

I don't feel numb at all. A couple mornings ago I was rubbing my hands together and when I felt my dream hands move I started getting some strong HI(it looked like a real metal door), but I did not feel "numb" or anything. Actually I was completely unaware of my body.

Ahh I see. Thanks I will just start visualizing after I count to 150 ( That way I am pretty relaxed )

This stuff might really help:D I also used the counting without succes.

Do you know any other Focuses I can use when I try this?

When I count I have to swallow.. Not sure why.

I really dislike counting. I requires too much attention. Also, don't worry about swallowing and just take it easy. The problem I see is that people over complicate the WILD. After a WBTB just lie in bed until you feel extremely tired. when you feel close to falling asleep, do any of the techniques. If you are uncomfortable in any position, move.
