The thing that is a problem for me when I RC during the day is that I first think "oh wait I should RC here" or i see something weird makes me think about how I should RC while awake to RC while asleep.
The problem is that I do not or cannot question waking reality therefore it is hard to question dreaming reality. help me please
I used to have the same problem, like not believing that I could possbily be dreaming. But as I was RCing and becoming lucid sometimes I have noticed a lot of weird things happening regularly during my waking life that actually has made me question reality. Anytime you see something that could possibly be a dream or a mind trick, question it and believe it. For example, I swore I saw my cat walk in my room the other night while I was on the computer. I was sure I saw her, then I called her and she meowed from upstairs... I was liek am I dreaming? In fact yesterday night me and my friends were driving and we saw the weirdest man walking on the sidewalk and my friends laugh and I was like, that can't be real.... am I dreaming? my friends always laugh because they know I lucid dream and they know I'm just reality checking.
Hmm...I would try this. Whenever you RC during waking life, look around at your environment. Ask yourself, "Why do I know that this isn't a dream." Its not really questioning reality, its more like proving reality. Stand there and "feel" yourself and your state of consciousness. Know what it feels like to be in reality. Smell the air, feel some texture around you, and really "observe" your world for a moment. It only takes a few moments and then carry on with your business. Good Luck to you!

Yeah thats true. It also helps to not only reality check when you see something weird, but to check at certain cues. That has helped me a lot. Make a list.Quote:

Really the more you have, the better. The idea is being able to remember reality check. I admit it's difficult to remember but it has helped me a lot.
A nice bonus is that it improves your prospective memory (remembering to do something later w/out a memo) and if you ever want to try MILD. This method is actually recommended by Stephen LaBerge if you want to learn to do MILD.
