Do binaural beats work for everyone or do you have to be near REM stage (For lucid dream binaurals obv) Because I tried it for a nap and woke 20 mins later and I dont think I had any dreams at all....

I have to say, I have a very stubborn mind, and its been so hard for me to learn all this stuff, (I wanna learn to WILD) but with just a couple of tries with these mp3's, I got into SP and HI!!!!! that was a huge surprise for me, cause I was giving up on these beats... But I think these will actually help me get somewhere.. as soon as i start listening to it i feel relaxed and get vibrations.. and get into HI real quick...

The problem with using binaurals to induce dreams, is that they don't.
If the claims are true (by the way, I have not found ANY scholarly information that confirms that binaurals can alter brainwaves. This leads me to believe that binaurals are nothing more than a placebo.), then binaurals can bring you into beta wave sleep.
Beta wave sleep is where REM occurs, but it's also the same activity as waking thought. What's the guarantee that you enter REM, instead of simply waking up?
Our minds have a process they must go through, a rollercoaster of brainwaves they must enter, at specific times, before entering REM. This lasts about an hour. And while you /could/ get a binaural track that mimics these brainwaves, there would be absolutely no way to distinguish results attained naturally from those supposedly "induced" by binaurals.

Though I don't know why this is important, the primary use of binaural beats is used during waking, not sleeping. You can experience altered states of consciousness that can be facilitated by binaural beats, it's just a help.
You can experiment yourself, it's very easy to do.
I have certainly felt the effects of binaural beats before, and so have many others. It's not just placebo.

Regarding placebo...
Even the binaural websites say that you must focus on the beats, and meditate along with them, to work. Can they not work on their own for some reason? And how can you tell the difference between effects from meditation, and effects from binaurals?
I'm just saying, don't waste your money on these. As there are free versions abound, and I'm certain there's no difference from the pay sites.
Yes, one gets the most out of them when one meditate, given that one is using the correct frequencies for that purpose. Though binaural beats can also be effective in other situations, against pain; during/post surgery and for enhanced learning in some circumstances.Quote:

I wouldn't pay for it too, there are many free ones and one can easily make them for oneself.
Let me state that binaural beats are not a necessary thing, but can be quite helpful for many people. I just advice simple personal experimentation, it might just do wonders.
I haven't had any success yet with binaural beats and lucid dreaming. I don't even understand how that would work? Since you first have to fall into deep sleep. Unless you're using the binaural beats for some nap WILD? I guess it can work in that scenario.
But, they are a lot of fun! And they did help me to know what a deeper state of mind feels like. Before trying the beats, I could never quiet my mind for meditation. But the first beats I tried just melted my mind. Like, I could hear/feel my mind chatter just melt away into nothingness. And then I was so absorbed into the beats, it wasn't even possible to have mind chatter for the rest of the time!
It was also awesome hearing that extremely low tone that's actually too low for the human ear to hear.
The most effective beats I've listened to were random free ones I found online with no music added to them. I've tried one or two with flowing music, but they don't have anywhere near the same effect on me.

I have had lucid dreams, and even False awakenings... But they dont last long and happend in very random moments... haven't had one in like a month already :roll: and now I'm working so I only have weekends to get really into trying...
But these beats really do relax me and they help me focus, I was finally able to get into a cool trance so... let me know how they work for you....
