Having Trouble With WILD?
Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this because I am truly becoming very frustrated with myself.
Well, I try WBTB and WILD, and I trying doing WILD in naps. . .
But I can't physically relax! I have to keep moving!
This is going to sound absolutely nutty, but I have this thing where if I try to hold still for too long or if I think about a certain body part, it starts to get this strange annoying feeling in it. I've never been able to quite explain the sensation- it's sort of a tingling-throbbing-annoying-want-to-rip-that-body-part-off feeling... To be specific- I get it 24/7 in my fingers, below my ribcage and in my toes mostly, but I can stand it in my fingers and below my ribcage... But it is the toes that make me want to do this when I'm trying to hold still...
:disconcerted: -> :shock: -> :eek: -> :panic::panic::panic:
It is only when I am concentrating on something else, really hard that it seems to go away.
Yesterday night I was trying to WILD and I think I got to SP. My body started vibrating and I felt like I was sort of falling, but of course my mother had to burst in, thinking I was awake and ruin my possible first LD. I couldn't get back to that stage that night. I started yelling at her and telling her that I was about to enter Sleep Paralysis but she just stared at me like I was mental.
Mum: :shock:
Me: :bang:
She really isn't very supportive of the whole, Lucid Dreaming thing. She's actually quite uncharacteristically supersticious about Sleep Paralysis. She had a boyfriend once when she was my age, (15,16) and apparently he used to feel Sleep Paralysis a lot. It was like someone was lying ontop of him and he couldn't breath properly, then he would feel like he was floating... They both thought it was a ghost or something like a demon... :lol:
I keep telling her it was only Sleep Paralysis but she doesn't listen and she thinks some Demon is going to come and kill me in Sleep Paralysis. -sigh-
Anyway- my question is, What do I do? Do I try relaxing techniques? Do I keep my mind completely awake and continue to think to distract myself? Do I move my toes?!
I know this is a long and confusing post, but any help is appreciated!
Thanks in advance... :(
