From all the LD experiences I don't think many can be as overwhelming as meeting one's dream guide.
I found my dream guide to be the vampire Lestat(very "adolescent" isn't it?:D Though you have to give me credid for not choosing him to embody Edward from "Twilight")
Well, anyway I had already choosen his form, in some ways, I found out later, that knowing what you are looking for makes it more simple.
I became lucid in a primary school I used to go to and I couldn't get out because of all the guards that wouldn't let me out.
Since I was lucid and I was in trouble and DG's tend to help in such situations, I called him on the phone from the cafeteria. A low, quiet voice replied, I couldn't quite hear it, but I explained the situation.
In a few moments he was there, looking at me with that look a mother gives to a child - "What have you gotten into this time?"
He didn't look mad. He was perfect though the subconscious filled in some blanks like the tone of his hair, I knew it was him instantly.
It was the way the other DC's treated him, like steped back - kept a wide berth of' him. Probably I had imagined it would be so, but nontheless it was.
He told me to follow him. I guess he was going to the roof.
I ran upstairs past the guards and then I started to lose the awareness of what was I doing and why.But I woke up happy.:)
There is a very specific way I meet with my dream guide that I would like to share...The truth is I still can't make people appear right in front of me in dreams, just mere matter movement and I stopped trying when the dissapointment of it started to bother me.
I might not summon my dream guide, but I know he is there...when I close my eyes and fall backwards in a dream I feel someone catch me an inch from the ground. With my eyes closed I make him more detailed, it's not like I feel SOMETHING, but I feel fingers, palms, elbows, I imagine the scent, warmth and so forth...like try to make him from something that is just protecting me, into someone material, and I don't open my eyes till he is.
(sometimes I just stand with my eyes closed, but mostly I just like the sensation of falling)
He might not speak a lot, but he doesn't have to. He usually takes me to places I wan't to see. For instance, I have this club I fantasize before going to bed(making up scenarios in my head makes me fall asleep faster, something like dream incubation, only without any real intention).
He showed me that this club was right beneath my bathroom, behind a hidden trapdoor. The next time I lucid dreamed I went through it and it was there, everyone I had hoped to see, my DG included.
A lot of things depend on your expectations. My DG is a strong protector, a bit of a fatherly figure. I don't think he would have caught me if he was more of a verbal, wise man type of a guide, but then again I could be wrong.

But there is something I forgot to mention...you read about it ,but you are rushing into things you don't pay attention to it - your present state.
It takes quite a high level of lucidity and concentration to summon a DG. I was so eager to find my DG that I didn't really think about this so I ended up loosing sleep and the frustration because of it wasn't really much of a help either.
my dream guide was a guy in a black suit and black sunglaces.
the first and only time i saw him was im my first lucid after a big long dry spell( i had lucid dreames almost every night and then for some reason i stoped dreaming for a year but now i have dreams with better quality than before)
i was walking on a street and then i noticed that i was lucid dreaming, i was really happy, then the first thing i wanted to do was to call my dreamguide
so i said i want my dream guide to appear in front of me and then he appeared (and he made a big show)
he appeared with a black suit and black sunglasses and said "welcome to team______"(i dont remember his name i only saw him once a few weeks ago)
and he gave me a task he made a car appear right in front of me and said get in the car and touch 300 objects in my dream
i went searchin for them and the i think i went semi-lucid. at the end i went to see him but my alarm clock woke me up before i could speak to me.
it was the most amazing dream i ever had
What an awesome dream guide! So, he told you to get in the car. Did you get in? Or forget and try to touch 300 objects. Touching things is a great way to stay lucid. Try to touch things next time, but don't search for anything. Just touch whatever's around you.Quote:

I think I started out in my room. Everything was normal...I was about to head outside, and I saw my pops. Something happened, and I thought I may have been dreaming for a second but a nose pinch confirmed it. I decided to summon the Blonde Girl. It took some time for her to show up...I kept trying the "she'll be at the door technique", with out it working. Finally she pulled up in a car. When I got to the car, she was a little girl. She looked like a five year old, but she had the voice of a woman. I was happy to see her, but I was questioning why she was in that current form, and ect, but I forgot what was spoken of. I don't know if it was due to a scene change or a gap in recall....
I'm heading down the road, to the next town. It's night out, and I get to a neighborhood, that looks familiar, but at the same time, it's a place I've never gone to. The houses are nothing short of beautiful. They're sand white, and they have brown roofs, and they all connect to each other forming a big cul-de-sac but the street had old fashioned block pavement and there were no signs of any parking around that area. There were benches and whatnot, and people were outside having conversations...talking...enjoying life.
I decided to find my dream guide. I looked around in a house and I saw a lady and her kid, and this scene looked so familiar, it was if I had been there, or saw it happen in real life or otherwise. I ducked out before they could see me, and decided to just call out for my DG. I was walking all around that area calling out for her, and finally I saw her.
She was sitting on a bench wearing a peach formal dress, and she had a chocolate complexion like mine, her hair looked like it was either braided or in short dreadlocks, and a look on her face that said "why don't you wake up the whole neighborhood while you're at it". I asked her the normal "are you my DG", and she basically told me yeah...but I don't remember the extent of it. I think I asked her who was she, and she said that I met her before, and she finally decided to manifest herself in my dream after that. We took off flying, and noticed she was a lot better than me...we ended up in a bowling alley.
It was very populated, and huge. We held hands and started walking through and jumping over tables. She even laughed at me when I ducked trying to avoid an over hanging shoe cabinet. The next one I phased through like intended. Reminding myself that this was a dream. We arrived at the spot and was gonna bowl, and I thought to myself "man it's going to be hard remembering what ball is mine, the score ect ect", and she told me that I could head out if I wanted to.
I went outside, and there was a cop car. The cop stepped out and told me something. I pretended to have a gun in my hand and told him that I was going to shoot him. The cop got out of his car and aimed his gun at me over the top of the car. When he fired his gun, I slowed down his bullet and tried to catch it. It hit my palm and bounced out on the roof of the car. He fired again, and I slowed it down again, this time, I flicked the bullet back at him. I started breathing, and focusing my energy. I can't explain how, but I saw a meter that had my level of tension...like some sort of video game super bar. It reached 170%, and I hit the cop car with a kamehameha. The car turned into a fiery ball of fire as it flew into the nearby house, incinerating it's passengers.
I turned around and noticed there were a bunch of DC's watching, and laughing about how over the top I was, and I started searching for my DG again. I found myself back in that bowling alley, and I remember they were playing a rock song, but the lyrics were backwards. I couldn't help but wonder if the music might have been coming from reality....
again theres a gap in recall, and I'm back at the cul-de-sack
Some girl wants to have sex with me, and I refuse...I have this feeling that I'm going to forget all of this if the dream keeps going. I start yelling screaming...getting excited on purpose, and I still cant wake up. I saw my DG again, and asked her when would I wake up. She told me once I had sex. The girl I was supposed to have sex with was on the second story of the building. My flying was shaky at that moment, and it was more or less like power jumps. I ended up using web slinging to get my self up to the balcony. When I got into the room, I was looking for the girl, and finally I woke up.
It is easier for me to talk to my guide/subconscious (unsure which it is or if there is even a difference) during waking life.
The first time I was able to communicate with him I was walking home from some kickball game or something, I was really mad, but I felt like trying to establish a link. I just started asking myself philosophical questions and eventually I was able to listen by shutting out my own thoughts. I would get flashes of emotion more complex than my own, and then I would try and translate them. at first they were simple yes and no answers, but by the time I got home, I could translate simple scentances.
I have noticed that It is easier to listen to my guide when I go for a walk, I guess its meditative or something.
One piece of information he has shared with me (assuming I have translated it properly), Humans can never destroy themselves, but surviving, thriving, and comfort is not equal to existing. (think fallout 3 and you have the scenario that he is talking about.)

I was at school in like 7th or 8th grade (I'm 24 now), all my friends looked really young. Albert, David, Scott O, Patty, Lauren were there. Ms. Turly was teaching - there was chemistry formulas on the board that I've never seen before. Us kids were being loud, talking, laughing, throwing papers, etc. when I noticed my hands. I decided to see if I was dreaming by counting my fingers. I was able to count them the first time but the second time I counted 7 on one hand and thought that was weird. Then I thought I'd plug my nose and see if I could breath, sure enough I could! I told myself "I'm dreaming.". I got a huge rush of energy up my spine that flowed over my whole body. I got really excited and told myself to calm down. I ended up flying uncontrollably around the room crashing into desks and people. It felt like I was loosing the dream so I concentrated really hard and rubbed my hands together to stabalize it. I then announced to the class that I was dreaming, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me smiling, I then asked if there was a dream guide present. 3 People raised there hands and I went to one, and asked his name, he said Mohammad. Everyone went back to being taught. I asked if he really was a dream guide and he laughed and said yes.
We walled to a side door of the class and went through. We were on a cat walk/balcony type thing on the 2nd floor over looking a field. The dream started fading and both me and him rubbed our hands together to stabalize it, my hand felt rubbery but I could feel them warm up. I asked him if he was always in the dream world and he said no, but he visits it quite often. I asked if he was from planet Earth and he said no, he told me from where but I can't remember. We walked down into the main area of a college there were lots of students going about there day. He said watch this and created a lamb that was being walked by a strange clothed person. We both laughed. I asked him if there were morals in dreams. He wondered what I meant. I said some people like causing chaos and blowing up buildings and killing dream characters. He answered but sadly I can't remember. I asked because I had a sudden urge to dream up a rocket launcher and blow up a building but didn't.
We walked by some basketball courts and he lifted up a tarp. We went through and into a beautiful courtyard that led towards a big Chinese type castle. I was walking barefoot and my feet kind of hurt. He said that's why he always wears these, I looked down and saw some very comfy looking moccasins, I asked if he wears those to bed and he laughed and said he conjours them up when he enters the dream and said I should try. So I thought about my moccasins and a brand new pair appeared and I put them on. We walked into the castle and there was a big staircase. He began walking up them and I said I'm going to float to the top and up I went - I went up pretty fast running into the railings and climbing over them, he laughed and said your doing great. We walked through the door and I woke up.
Wow cosmix that is so awesome! I love how you asked all those great questions, sure you did not remember all his replies, but geez I would never event think to as that probably! In my dream I would have been too excited about meeting my DG! ;)

I went through a phase in my early 20's where I pretty much abandoned dreams, spirituality, etc. It was difficult, because I believe in it so much, but I didn't know how to explain it or talk about it to people around me, so I tried to ignore it, instead.

I never saw his face. He was wearing a field workers hat they would wear in Mexico with a colorfull blanket draped over his shoulders. The man never spoke a word to me, and yet he demanded my attention. He was exactly how I imagined Don Juan to look like from the Carlos Castaneda books.
Instead of saying anything, he pointed in my direction, and as his arm pivoted towards another direction, I experienced a wooshing sound, like I was in the middle of a cyclone, and after his arm stopped moving, we were in my room.
Before I had a chance to ask what we were supposed to do there, he loaded up his pointed finger again turned his arm towards my bed, the wooshing sound took place again, and instead of my bed there was a cocoon with a moldy corpse inside of it, kind of looked like a mummy that had been unwrapped.
At this point, I felt an ah ha in my heart area, and I turned to him and said, "ohhhhh you want me to wake him up". (Don't ask me how I knew this, I just did).
So I put my hands on the cocoon and started cradeling it back and forth. After moving the cocoon back and forth like you would rock a baby in a cradle. It didn't take long before the corpse looked like an old man.
After rocking him for only a little bit the cocoon disapeared and I put my hands on the old man. He was starting to be animated and he was talking to himself like he was dreaming. After a little while he now only looked about 28. He was now very irratated, and perturbed, like he would be if I was waking him up out of bed. He finally roused and said "what, what do you want"?
Now it was my turn to use the wooshing pointed finger arm motion gesture. And when the woosh was over, a pregnant woman was standing before us, and the 28 year old guy was standing beside me when I told him " you have to wake up, because you have to be born".
At this point the Don juan DG, or SG, or I don't even know if he was my guide,,,guide came up to the man and they began to talk.
At this point I was appreciating the lucidness of the dream I was having, I kept staring at my hands and then staring at the walls, for some reason, I then jumped off the roof of my house, staring at my hands and feet while falling. The 28 year old and Don Juan were looking over the side of the roof down at me while I was falling. The 28 year old asked, why is he doing that? And the Don Juan, of whom this is the only thing I heard him say to me through the whole dream replied in a resigned, exasperated tone, "because,,, he's an idiot".
As a last note, I never ever felt the unnerving presence in my house after that, and I never heard any one else note of the presense after this either.

I was taken to what looked like an island nation. I was shown a great city, the city was natural rock, mostly white marble. There was a great colliseum made of white marble and the inhabitants of the city were there attending a ceremony of sorts. I was not invited, instead I was shown a large flock of white oceanic birds (doves, but the size and strength of seagulls). When looking at the flock of birds, the "kite" told me not to stare too long at any one bird. So, of course I stared at one, and when I did, I could see that it was the repository of some ones life, it was a little person and I saw all the trials and difficulties he went through. The kite snapped me back, lending me energy by touching my shoulder with it's kite tail she warned me not to do that, and then I stared at another bird, I saw a girl in a relationship, she was unhappy and started doing heroine, ultimatly she took her own life, I was then snapped back by the kite. The kite told me we were supposed to see what was goinig on in the colliseum, and she "the kite" attempted to float me off the ground high enough to peer down into the open roofed marble colleseum, but I had used to much of her energy, and as such she chastised me for being so wastefull

In my opinion, asking for a gift from your DG would be like asking your best friend for a gift. Unless its your birthday, or some special occasion I would think it would be a bit rude.

I think I might have met my DG before, but I am not 100% sure. I had a dream earlier this year where I was sitting in a chair across from Sam Winchester (he's in a TV show called Supernatural I watch). The table and chairs were set up outside on this hill, that had a golden brick road running along one side of it. Sam leaned over to me with a very serious look in his eyes. He said "I'm going to teach you how to control your dreams and the powers that come with that." I immediately agreed. We both stood up and he lead the way to the golden brick walkway. Then I noticed this little boy tagging along,it was then I realized I was dreaming and became lucid. I turned to the little boy and grabbed his face and yelled "I'm dreaming and I know it haha!" Then I ran after Sam. I noticed his hair looked longer and tried to imagine it shorter to change it back. This did not work and I got angry. I tried to focus again to control the dream and then Sam was gone, in place of him was an older man.
Then all of the sudden, I was still lucid, but it was almost as if Sam took control of the dream for me again. Because I was sitting in a gothic looking house at the same table that had been on the hill before. Now Sam was dressed in a goofy magician's outfit. I cringed when I saw him, because I knew it was my lack of control over my dream that caused him to be dressed like that. He just shook his head and rolled his eyes at me. I got the feeling he wanted me to be progressing faster with this, and also he did not enjoy the suit he was in. Then I woke up!
--So, could this be my DG? I never asked him if he was since at the time I did not know about DGs. I'm hoping in my next lucid dream I will remember to ask to see my DG, hopefully Sam will show up.
I've just started to meet my dream guide or guides knowing of them as such. haven't really decided if it's many different ones or the same on taking different forms.
Well either way I've just identified this one character to be my dream guide just last week.
The morning of the 15th August 2010 I learned of her to be my dream guide for sure. I have had previous encounters but I didn't really place her as a DG, I suspected such but wasn't sure until this dream. She had the form of a young girl. Maybe a little different looks from one dream to another. But I recognized her as the same person.
She's quite the careful character I've noted.

I called out to summon my dream guide this morning as well. but she was quite quick and hasty to leave. Maybe she was busy with something and I was interrupting? :D
Either way she appeared as a adult this time. A young Asian beauty though.
Sadly I didn't write a proper journal entry this time, quick notes only.

Know I've never seen or spoken with my dream guide. It always seems to be just around the corner if you know what I mean.
I first asked a young girl on a porch where to find my dream guide. She told me my dream guide is everything I hate. I never did find the guide in that dream but a catatonic women. I'll post that entry here after I work through tech difficulties.
In another dream (Elusive Dream Guide and Wings), I again asked a DC for the dream guide location. We walked down a ramp to a landing pad where a flying saucer just took off for outer space. "There goes your dream guide." the DC said. "But the mathematicians will help you" he continued and another space ship lands. I ask for help shapeshfiting and a voice booms from the ship. "First you must stabilize!" it said. I try and rub my hands together. A storm quickly approaches and I try to fly but fail and the dream ends.
Next (Aliens Outside the Hospital), I encounter 3 aliens that morph into one. They are humanoid but mostly bland and featureless. They do have large eyes and a tiny mouth is all. I lost vision but re-enter the dream with my technique. I again lose vision 3 or 4 more times and continue to re-enter the dream. Each time I only take a few steps before losing vision. Maybe this is related to stabilizing.
In Yellow Eyes Grey Statue I find an ancient alien statue in my neighbor's house (important place). It bursts into flames. I was working on Pyrokinesis at the time so maybe its related to dream control.
On August 24 and 27 a turn of events, aliens were after my eternal soul and I was placed in alien, biological, and slimey handcuffs respectively.

I maybe met him last night. (Although it was me helping him.)
I guess he's always been in my dreams, but in the backround y'know. Once I "found" him (well, he showed himself to me) I thought over past dreams, and realised he's been in almost all of them. Just "that guy behind the door" or "the one I sailed across the sea with". The one with no name you kind of dismiss as a DC. Until I realised he looked almost the same every time and was way smarter than most DC's.
He appeared and saved my life in the dream. He died in the process, but said he'd be back, which he has been. He gave me a dagger in that dream (which I named the Angel's Dagger, since I thought he was an Angel and it was white and gold.) I've tried summoning him in lucids, almost every one, but it's like he only comes along when I need help with something. I've never actually had a fully clear, lucid chance to ask him questions and be like "Who the hell are you, 'cause dude, you're pretty awesome."
But now that I'm getting more regular lucid dreams, and clearer ones, hopefully I'll be able to talk to him properly in the future :) I look forward to it.
I actually have a lot of lucid dreams, But i just recently found out what they are called.
Then I had a really vivid one, and I can remember a lot of it. but some of it is strange.
I was in a car, but it was a boat on a trailer not attached to a car. I stopped at a parking lot, and the parking lot shrank down to one space. I went into the building and stood in the hallway. I wasn't really sure why I was standing there, but in the dream I knew I was supposed to.
A small orange and black creature came into the door. It started taking, and it's voice sounded like mine. "I'm going to help you, but first you have to save me."
A few people in black jackets came in, and took the creature. I just teleported into another building, locked in a room. There was a table, a tripod, and a foam panel on the ceiling. I stepped on the tripod and went into another smaller room above the foam panel. In that room, there was another panel on it's ceiling that led to a small room too. Then on that one, there was a hole in the floor of a room like the one I was first trapped in.
My brother was in that room, then the orange creature walked in through a wall, and said something again. "Good job. Stand back and I'll show you something."
The orange creature turned into an orange tank, and said "I have to go. I will see you again soon. Goodnight."
Then i woke up. That happened last night, hopefully tonight the creature will be back =)
Also, escaping from some kind of building I'm locked in seems to be my dreamsign.

I have learned many things from other DC's, but she is the only one who identified herself as a Dream Guide.
Well, that previous guy wasnīt my DG, (Actually, no-one has said he isnīt, I just havenīt seen him afterwards.) but I did encounter my spirit guide. Although he doesnīt really do anything helpful. Maybe thatīs what my DG is for. Oh, and whatīs the difference between a SG and a DG?
