If you are in a Lucid Dream how do you Astral Project?
Wake yourself up don't move at all then you will probably go back into sleep paralysis in which you can normally exit.
If I wake my self up how will I AP rather than DEILD?
Not completely sure I do it sometimes on accident. sometimes you will start out in a dream in your room, but its not astral projection....
So how do you tell the difference from when it's a lucid dream or an AP?
It feels way different.
Could you be more specific? Some lucid dreams feel different than others.
It feels like you are in your astral body, which you feel all the time while in your body normally in waking life. It feels like you are out of your body. on the physical plane.
In a sense a lucid dream is, travelling in the astral plane <to some people anyway>
in a sense your consciousness is disconnected from your earthly body, at anytime you can will your consciousness back to your body at anytime just by a little will power and the intention to go back to your body, once you are back in your body, try make sure you do not move at all, stare at your third eye and will to exit this point, you can even just step out of your body! or roll out, its hard to explain how to exit cause you will never know the level of sleep paralysis you are going to find your self in, if you find your self in a lesser penalized state, its more of a mental exercise to exit your body, if you find your self in a really deep penalized state, you can literally step out of bed as if you would normally would...hard to explain tho how to actually do it tho
i hope i have helped you
um dreams are not on the astral plane
No, do not wake yourself up.
Inside your lucid dream, sit in the lotus position or lay down (I prefer to lay down as if I am going to sleep) and just meditate. You will be astral projecting within just a few seconds...for me it is pretty much immediate after laying down.
This is the only method I have heard of and tried successfully many times to induce an AP from within a LD. Have fun.
(also I should clarify...this is how to astrally project to higher planes. When astral projecting directly from SP you end up on lower astral (earthly) plane.)
Are you sure you weren't still in dream?
Yes...
How do you tell a difference from the LD and the AP; how does the astral plane differ in look/feel compared to a dream? Basically what I'm asking is, if I lay down and stand up in a different location how will I know I didn't just teleport inside the dream?
hmmm I'll try to explain in some way that makes sense. Your dream body and astral body feel different. Your astral body resonates at a lower vibration, it feels more dense than your dream body. Your dream body feels very light. One common thing people experience in astral projection is their hands will be transparent and they can pass through solid objects they see. This is not always the case though. Next time you are in a lucid dream notice how your body feels. This way if you astral project you be able to feel a considerable difference in the way your body feels.
^that's on lower astral planes.
On higher astral planes you will feel even lighter and may not even have a body...and just float through various places. You will usually be taken to different places by spirit guides. If you pass from a higher plane to an even higher one, you will definitely need the aid of some sort of being, you can't pass through the barriers alone. (According to someone I trust very much, the barriers test your heart). You will be completely filled with light and love...bright white light, like nothing you've ever imagined. You will know that you have just been someplace...else. Not of this world. Not of any dream. You can visit the akashic records as well if you're lucky. When you wake up, you will have a high that will last for days, maybe even weeks. They are definitely the most spiritual experiences I have ever had. I highly recommend anyone trying to reach the higher astral planes through meditation in a lucid dream. Roaming around the lower earthly plane has done absolutely nothing for me, and it was never a wonderful or spiritually enlightening experience. Aim higher.
well your astral body is an underlying body of the physical body, where as your dream body is created out of your own expectation of it being there. Like when you look at your hands in a dream they are only there because you expect them to be there. This energy is very real though, and your dream body is present overlapping your physical body in waking life too as well as you astral body.
spirit guides taking you to different places and higher planes? lol my spirit guide never took me anywhere. He would probably tell me screw that do it yourself. Sounds like a very nice fantasy experience though.
I have visited the dream bodies of different planets. Being exposed to the energy on the dream body of these planets can effect you in different ways. and if your in the loving presence of other entities that nice too :) Pretty much all dream worlds I visit are way more enjoyable than waking life. Waking life on earth is hell compared to those places. I open my eyes and feel all this dark energy in the air....
Oh and this... when your dream body is weak, it is hard to get to other dream worlds by yourself. When you travel to more dream worlds and share dreams with people your dream body will get stronger. For example this is why its hard to get the moon for alot of people. They want to get to the cool place Nomad and Raven created but its on the dream body of the moon, and when they try they don't have enough energy to get there. For this reason I have been taking many of my friends in waking life to dream worlds with me giving them healing and what not, strengthening their dream bodies.Quote:
you can't pass through the barriers alone.
It helps to have someone to get to these places like a dream guide or another friend whos has a strong dream body or inorganic beings or even a spirit guide thats nicer than mine lol.
They are. At least it is what Theosophs and classical occultists say us. Dreaming is one of forms of astral activity.
See "Astral plane" by Charles Leadbeater for example.
Also, analysis of experiences of more modern astral projectors such as Sylvan Muldoon or Robert Bruce shows that these experiences are very close to what secular dreamers call "WILD".
Well you can label it what ever you want. WILDs are not always on the astral plane. Most of time you will start out in a room which is a manifestation of your mind caused by your expectation of it being there.
One will say this is a manifestation of your mind caused by your expectation, another will say it is an astral copy of the real room. The same thing, different interpretations. But I suggest you to read classical occultists who did not have to make psychological and mystical models compatible. Modern mystical dreamers have troubles trying to to marry occult and scientific views they believe in and produce chimeras like "this is a WILD, this is an astral projection" etc. while old occultist were saying quite unanimously that dreaming is form of astral activity - when we dreaming we are in some part of Astral Plane. Just select which model you like more, you do not have to believe in both.
Well if its a manifestation of your mind your in a dream. If you are viewing the energy of physical objects, you are on the astral plane.
Sorry, but no. This definition is wrong according to occult sources. More, "If you are viewing the energy of physical objects, you are on the astral plane." is another example of conceptual chimera. It is Carlos Castaneda who wrote a lot about ability to see energy of objects or entities in dreams but he never used the term "astral plane". Nor one can find any reference to "If you are viewing the energy of physical objects, you are on the astral plane." in books of Charles Leadbeater, Arthur Powell, Aleister Crowley, Sylvan Muldoon or other occultists who actually worked withing astral framework.
So you believe any dream is on the astral plane Phantasos? So does that mean that all DCs are spirits of some sort?
Who gives a shit what you call it
