Has anyone experienced this before?

A few nights ago I was lying in bed and ready to go to bed. Usually before going to sleep I tell myself "I will have a lucid dream" over and over. This time I just laid on my back and focused on everything. I was aware of the sound of my fan, the gentle gust of wind on my body, my tongue resting in my mouth, and all kinds of things of this nature. I'll do this alot of times throughout the day at times to improve my awareness. There was something different about this time though, like it just felt like I was way more aware than I've ever been.

After feeling myself slipping into sleep, riding it out, and usually waking up for about five times and a half an hour later I rolled onto my side to try and sleep again. At times it felt like my awareness was so high and I was in a deeply meditative state I could feel my spirit leave my body. I would wake up right after with an interesting feeling I've never felt before. Anyway, this time when I was sinking back into sleep I thought to myself "I can't get hurt in my dreams." Immediately a voice that was not my own answered and said "anyone can." This voice sounded kind of all knowing in a way and immediately afterwards I saw hundreds of blue spheres all clustered together moving in front of my eyes.

I opened my eyes and still saw them exactly the same. They were pretty much completely covering my entire field of vision. My heart was beating rapidly (primarily because that voice's answer startled me) and I saw a hole open up in the middle of the spheres. I felt like my body was inside my body and it was flung into the circular tunnel. I traveled through the tunnel and was excited because I thought that there would be a dream awaiting me at the end of it. At the end of the tunnel I just saw different colored swirls moving all about, but no dream. The dots and tunnel travel continued for about three minutes and I probably went through four to five more times. At the end of it I woke up in awe wondering what the hell just happened?!

I know this is long so I'll wrap it up. The craziest thing is that when i was much younger I would see these spheres alot, mostly blue but sometimes red while lying down at night. This also reminded me of one night when I was young and I saw so many of these dots for a long time, and later that night I wondered around my house interacting with a dream I was seeing but still believe i was in my house. At the time I had no idea what was going on, but I just knew it was incredibly long and annoying. After having this experience again I'm really intrigued at what this is and was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

Sorry this is long but I just really want to know what this was. Also sorry if this doesn't belong here. I pmed a couple mods where I should post this but received no response. Thanks for reading everyone!

It appears to me that the subconscious part of you that you're making a demand of with the self-suggestion isn't entirely on board with what you're asking for. You suppose you can do whatever you want with your dreams without negative repercussions on your health, and its pushing back a little bit. But I don't know whether the issue is specifically your desire for lucid dreams, or just something about what you're trying to dream about, or maybe just your presumption that your subconscious/dream-daemon doesn't have the power to hurt you.

If it were me I would ask for clarification, though your subconscious/dream-voice might not say more if it feels it already said what it has to say. Or make the lucid dream self-suggestion more of an interest or request, and less of a decree.

There is a recent article at theatlantic.com about an epidemic of Hmong men getting killed by lucid dreams. The article was kind of lame though in that it was written by a 'mainstream science' type guy who doesn't know much about dreaming.

It's not that you didn't dream, it's that you went to their realm while you were dreaming. You were in the place these beings call home, and what gave it away was that you described only tunnels and beings made of energy, and this is exactly what it looks like to every being that goes to that realm. I've been there myself a few times, and thus far, you are the only other person on this board who has described it. The voice that answered you was correct in its response. You are not safe behind the veil of, "it's just a dream" after a certain point. It appears you have reached that point. Be on your toes.

You can speak to this voice freely, and learn a great deal from it. After a while you will also be able to hear it while you are awake during any normal day. It is also after your awareness, your energy. Focusing on these balls of energy that covered your field of vision will draw you to follow them to their realm. My advice to you, is that if you go back to this realm...never, ever, ever for any reason whatsoever voice out loud your intent to stay in that realm, no matter what this voice tells you. It will say many things to coax you into wanting to stay. You will regret it dearly. And if you do not wish to return to this realm, do not focus on these balls of energy, or you will be pulled there.

So those who 'blow past' the trap benefit from the eternal slavery of people who faltered once because of sensual weakness? Are you sure that a willingness to do that, without regard for proportion in justice, isn't another type of weakness, for which there awaits another kind of trap?

And are the truths that the voice tells absolute truths, or are they truths only insofar as you are capable of discerning? To make you believe that the truths are absolute would just be another kind of deception, possible because of your weakness of vanity, which would be a deception fully within the entity's character as you describe it. What if the whole higher realm you describe is spun from a collection of half-truths which are more particular to you than universal? In other words, your dream plane is like a private 727 with other like-minded people on board?

If you're absolutely certain that your thoughts are truths, there's no point in arguing about it though.

Having a proportion of justice is the weakness where another trap can await. Seeing or being shown a trapped being and feeling any type of will to set it free, is a trap like any other. Because in order to set it free, you would need to use or give up some of your energy, maybe all of it, and that is exactly what is wanted. There is no sympathy for those who have faltered, and there is nothing you can do about it. Be as passers by. A man named Carlos Castaneda felt that same justice and tried to set a trapped being free, and if it were not for that being alerting his teacher of where he was after it was set free through the loss of all but a tiny remainder of his energy that he got from the being he freed, he'd have been lost forever. On top of this, he didn't have enough energy to rise from bed for weeks at a time, having to be watched over 24/7 to ensure his survival. All because of his internal sense of justice. He describes this realm exactly as the OP, as can I, and any other being who has been there.

Almost all truths are half truths, and the only absolute truths are the universal laws, such as the law of polarity, which states all things are but two degrees of the same thing. Where does hot end and cold begin? Where does left end and right begin? Where does good end and evil begin? Why do we have "grey areas"? When you can discern the paradox behind the truths (or ask enough questions), you have useable information at your disposal. I asked the following question when I first encountered it:

"What is it that destabilizes dreams?"

"Thinking and internal dialogue, distracting thoughts." (The initial half-truth)

"But how can a person not think to themselves?"

"You don't need to not think, you simply need to stop thinking in words that voice themselves in your head, they distract and remove focus from your dreaming"

"But that's how it's always been"

"And that's due to your habitual training, not an inherent quality of your mind"

"How do I change it?"

"Remove your training, so that you think only in quick calculations"

"How?"

"By returning through all of your life experiences, so that your memory is whole. Some things are blocked out and you do not remember them completely, but all of the information is there, while other things are commands on your unconscious (cellular consciousness), and energy that your mind can use, is locked away in past events of emotional (and physical, but to less of a degree) turmoil. Your cellular self defense mechanism has more energy available to it than the whole of you currently does. You should be able to remember every minute of your life in vivid detail. Mind has no limits."

I was taken back to a time when I was in the 3rd grade, and it was time for my dad to head off to work, but I didn't want to stop playing in the neighborhood. I dodged him when he was out looking for me, for about 20 minutes until I realized he was not going to leave for work until I was back inside the house. I made my way back to the house, and when he saw me, I could see the rage in his eyes. He dragged me inside by one arm, and beat the living daylights out of me with his belt. I was hit in the head on the back, thrown up against the railing of our stairs, and being called "dumb, stupid, can't do anything right, never pays attention, doesn't care about authority, or anyone but myself, you just don't care!, etc." the entire time. At first I was in 3rd person because seeing this in such a complete form was still a bit painful, but as I kept watching, I slowly drifted to myself until I was looking through my eyes in my 3rd grade body. I could feel all the pain from that whipping just as if it had happened in waking life. I realized how selfish I had been and started to kind of laugh at myself for getting myself into such a situation, and the pain stopped. Once it did, I stopped caring about this incident that I could only:

1. Hardly remember well because I was focused on the pain instead of his words

2. Felt anger and resentment towards my dad every time it came up in my mind

Then this voice said to me, "and after this moment, how well did you do in school?", and I thought to myself, after that day, I made every one of those harsh words come true. I got terrible grades and never paid attention in class. I resented and disrespected authority at every turn.

I said "But isn't this the exact opposite of what I should have done to not receive anymore pain?", to which it replied "Not when the words received become commands. When you got into similar situations such as this one, despite the pain, you did exactly what you were commanded to do, not care."

"But how is this even a command?"

"Pre-natal instances of pain accompanied by words. Before you had an analyzing mind. These events and commands take over from your analyzing self when similar situations to the ones already received are encountered"

"But surely I couldn't hear anything in the womb?"

"You started as a small collection of cells. These cells then replicated. Each cell in your being has the experience of every other cell. What are words?"

"Sounds?"

"Correct. Sounds are made of what?"

"Waves?"

"Sound waves travel. Do you think the cells cannot record these sound waves like a vinyl record records them in a time where survival seems threatened?"

"I think I understand"

"Hmm, you do not completely, but you have grasped the concept. When the meanings to the words contained in these instances are learned by the analyzing mind, their definition becomes command in any similar situation where survival is threatened. They do not discern or analyze, they react and control. The subconscious is the cellular consciousness. All perceptions present in events like these are recorded, with even more detail than just touch and sound after birth."

"So I must re-experience all of these events, even the ones from the womb, and I will have restored all of my energy to be accessed by my mind?"

"Precisely"

"But how will this make my mind any faster?"

"You will still need training, but learning how to learn will not be nearly as difficult, and you surely won't think word for word, forming sentences, and will form and conclude thoughts before others will know what problem solving thoughts to form, because they will think in words, in language. You thought in language out of habit and lack of direction to do better. There will be no lapse in your memory, and your retention of knowledge will improve drastically, and never falter again. Your cellular consciousness will not be able to take over, because your analyzing mind has experienced everything your cells have experienced, you will analyze everything."

"But I already do that"

"Then why did you do so poorly in school? Was it not by command? Was it a choice of yours? Did you struggle on purpose? You speak of losing all procrastination, of accomplishing your goals, yet you fall to habit. Where do you think your habits arise from?"

I had no response, and thought about it vocally for so long that my dream collapsed and there I was, schooled by the voice. As I awoke I heard one word "repetition".

I realized that everything you do or act upon is based upon your internal beliefs, and you gain beliefs through repetition of thought. When you have an unknown force directing your actions in every similar situation to those where emotional or physical turmoil (survival being threatened), you repeat the same actions, the same thoughts, until they become a part of your belief system. Not doing well in finances? That's your belief system. Not good with the opposite sex? That's your belief system. Thought is everything, and changing the way you think, is to change the way everything unfolds around you. But in order to make that next big step towards your full potential, you will end up undergoing this process. Re-experiencing everything contained in your subconscious with your conscious mind.

And this was how I began a process some call recapitulation, while a man in the 1950's called it Dianetics. Even other cultures such as the Tibetan Buddhists undergo this process by a different name. In what this voice has told me about dreaming, it has been correct. I have not yet asked about worldly things, such as the monetary markets or other useless things, because they do not concern me. I am focused on self improvement and improving in dreaming. I have verified through books, through my own experimentation, and through reading other people's experiences. Now, obviously, the voice helped me and taught me so that I would have more energy that I could cultivate, and that it could try to take from me. Cat and mouse.

For instance, when the voice told the OP that "anyone can" be hurt in a dream, it was correct. Dreaming is exploration of the universe, and projection of dreamer's mind when creating and intending. If you are not projecting, but exploring, you can encounter beings both extremely weaker and stronger than yourself. In some instances you can feel an energy so powerful, and with such hostility that if you were to even focus your attention on such a hostile being, it would attack and destroy you. Deplete enough energy by being attacked in such a way, and see how difficult it is to do something simple, like rise out of bed. In some cases you won't rise at all, such as voicing to stay in the realm of these beings. Anything you voice out loud is "for keeps", and you must be diligent to stay on the path. Just because another faltered does not mean you are of any purpose to free them.

It has been said by many scientists that the human mind is a bio-computer, more powerful and more capable than anything man will ever create, and they are correct. John C. Lilly, among others. Acceptance of this truth however, is another story entirely.

Hmm this sounds very interesting, I'll have to read your other post fully so give me a little bit and I'll edit this post with a response lol. Glad there's someone who's seen this before and I'm very interested to learn more about this intriguiging subject.

Ok I read it all over now. There are things that confuse me though. I'm thinking back on it and I'm not really sure if I was dreaming or not. Can this sort of thing happen so shortly, around a half hour, after trying to fall asleep? There were probably about four times before this happened that I felt myself almost fall into a dream. Usually when this happens I feel like my body sinks into my head and then it expands and shrinks until I feel like my whole body is the size of a fingernail. This is a feeling that I'm also curious about this because I remember when I was a child I would have recurring dreams like this. I could never remember exactly what the dream was, but it was always the same. It didn't even feel like a dream to be honest. However, after starting on my lucid dream journey, I can definitely say this expanding and shrinking feeling is just a weaker version of this dream..

Anyway, back on topic, I remember feeling like I was starting to enter a really deep sleep when I thought "I can't get hurt in my dreams" and then the voice responded. Do you think that I was actually dreaming that I was in my room lying down in the exact spot I fell asleep in? That would be very intriguing also if that was the case. Do you have to be dreaming to see these spheres of energy? I'm not lying about this but I can say that when I went through this tunnel I felt a tiny glimpse of something huge. Just a feeling that there was something incredibly greater in this world than I could possibly understand. I've felt this feeling maybe one other occasion in my life. I never actually reached a destination like you did though. I probably went through about four or five times. The first time I tried to "feel" my legs making contact and walking on a floor trying to burst into a dream. I could feel it but nothing came of it. The next times when I was more calm about it I just tried to ride it out and wanted to know what was at the end of it, but woke up afterwards.

Sorry if my post jumed all over the place, but I have alot of questions about all this. It is really awesome to find someone else that has experienced these blue spheres before even though I never went to the destination you arrived at. Most interesting. Now I'm even more intrigued about all of this!

Forsaking justice in order to avoid being tricked by sympathy is like forsaking intelligence to avoid being tricked by logic. Or going blind to become safe from optical illusions.

Its as if I expressed a disinclination to drug women and imprison them in my basement, and in response you shared an anecdote about someone who was killed while trying to rescue someone thus imprisoned. As if that somehow proves that I should cultivate the depraved tendency.

You have all been "there", because you all share basically the same thought about justice, which you just expressed, and also other related thoughts. Your descriptions of "there" are strongly similar because the thoughts are strongly similar. If your thoughts were different, then your experiences would be different. If you saw it the same way as Castaneda before you read his book, it shows you are psychically sensitive. But it doesn't imply that what you saw is objectively real outside of your particular collection of thoughts. My experiences are similar to yours in some ways, but very different in others.

You have my sympathy about the abusive upbringing. This is something that I understand to a fair extent, though of course I can't completely understand how someone else will be affected by it and respond to it.

You can say L. Ron Hubbard or Scientology if you want to. As it happens, this is pretty much the premier group for trapping people by cultivating fear of entrapment, at least in the United States. Their contract is only for 10,000 years though, not forever.

Your example of drugging women and imprisoning them does not stand toe to toe with the fact that in order to become trapped by these beings and this voice, you must willingly voice your intent to stay. They cannot force you to stay, nor can they keep you against your will. You must agree of your own free will to stay. That is why I say sympathy towards them serves no purpose. They made a choice, and they must live with that. You are at no fault for not feeling that they deserve justice, because they do not. Justice is deserved when someone is wronged for no reason, not when they make a bad deal, looking blindly at it through their own lust, or greed, or any other detrimental motivation. At first I could not see the downside to this type of deal, considering you will legitimately receive all that you ask for within that realm, cosmic servants, sensual pleasures, power, etc. But then I realized you would not be able to wake up and go speak to your friends, your family, you could not tell them all the wonderful things you have, because that realm is your new home, forever. Once you realized that these things did not truly make you happy, that's when the reality sets in that you've fallen into a trap.

Dianetics is not Scientology, but L. Ron Hubbard is the author of Dianetics. Everything read in Dianetics I have found to work as stated, while nothing in Scientology interests me in the slightest. There is no forsaking of justice, it is simply the way things are. There is nothing you can do about those who have been entrapped. If you would like to prove me wrong, free a being from this realm and then return to your computer and write about the experience. That is of course, assuming you ever make it back to tell the tale. The sympathy is not what gets you trapped, it is what you will have to give up for your sympathy to result in the justice you seek, your energy. If you give up your energy, there is nothing you have left. The trick is to get you to give up your energy in one way or another.

I did not have an abusive upbringing, but that particular moment in my life made changes because of the severity of the punishment, which at the time I did not understand. Before that particular moment when the voice took me back to that event, I felt that I did not deserve what I got, and even to this day, I still think it was overboard, but it is what it is. My parents needed to pay bills, and I was putting that at risk with my stunts. It never happened again at that severity, and I no longer feel the emotions towards that event that I used to. At the time I had the maturity of a 3rd grade child.

Fear of any kind cannot reside in a person who truly wants to be free.

If you set poisoned food out on a table, its a cop-out to say that your victims ate it of their own free will. Your example amounts to the same thing. The difference between coercion and that kind of seduction is a matter of courage and power, not of justice. If the girls came to my house of their own free will because I seduced them to stay with me, even saying that we would be a couple "until the end of time", and then I chain them to the water heater and never let them leave, its the same kind of thing.

In any case, I never expressed an interest in looking for any imprisoned beings to free, in other realms or in basements. What I said was that I myself am not willing to seduce people, and my motive in that regard significantly changes how I experience the 'spiritual realm' and the 'voice', which in some other regards is similar for me as it is for you.

Well there is a difference between setting poisoned food out on the table, which no one knows is poisoned, and making a deal in which the person knows exactly what they are getting, but doesn't consider that what they are getting will not truly make them happy. They believe it will, and their detrimental motivation is what causes them to accept. The "fine print" of the deal is that you stay, forever, and this is made known to you before making the deal, but it is not revealed to you that you will miss your friends, your family, and those close to you, because that is up to you to consider, and to decide on. If you do not consider what you may lose, and blindly make the deal, which is what all that get entrapped do, because that is what the deal relies on, that is on you, and you alone.

If you get ripped off on a loan because you did not read the entirety of the loan paperwork and make sure that you understand every line of it, who's fault is that? Yes the person who did this is shady, and yes they may deserve punishment, but you had every chance to avoid it if you had not been lazy, greedy, etc. So the blame cannot rest on them, it rests on you. You must own your decisions, whether they screw you over, or set you free. It is up to you and you alone to know the right decision to make, and no one should be inclined to save you for making a choice where you had every opportunity to consider everything involved to avoid making it.

I heard this voice only a week ago, but there were no coloured spheres. Everything was normal but then I just heard this deep booming voice saying "your dreaming" this then kicked me into my first lucid (which lasted approximately 3 seconds) and then the dream ended. The voice I heard sounds very similar to the one your all describing here. Never been to the dream realm though. :)
