yeah when they are created they are at the speed of light, they dont know anything slower... wacky stuff.
I am currently reading Manifold Space by steven Baxter... so far its a good read, his science is true and theoretics are great =) heh, they used a fusion pulse engine to get a ship about 1000 AU from the sun, basically its like putting a firecracker under an overturned garbage can heeh, still took around 100 months to get to the destination point. really neat stuff =)

They built starships that could tap into this potential to travel 99.9% C.

I believe That in order to communicate telepathicly both people must meet these requirments:
Ability to lucid dream.
Posess a bond between each other, maternal, paternal , twins, love, etc
Both parties must be willing.
And the heart must long for the other.
Meaning, If two people which to dreamscape distance does matter in this.
If two people have no reason to dreampscape. How much the heart longs for the other depend on how strong it signals will be. If it's weak it wont go far, but it is strong it'll go on for great distances.

Yep its a big pusher plate with a habitation mounted to it on shock absorbers, the fusion reaction causes all kinds of energy emmision, not really an explosion perse, you couldent launch the ship on earth itself, it dosent have that kind of power, it needs to be in space already. Its like an ION drive in a way but with a much higher energy output. The ship could probably reach about 2% the speed of light.
Antimater still has mass so it would be bound by einsteins theory

yuppers, Water tanks are a good source of shielding, also could use some kind of magnetic containment to keep the hab module out of harms way.

It would require a vast data storage device... and two very large sources of entangled matter.
There are things most dont think of though... The original copy is destroyed... would we as a whole survive that? would our soul "follow" us?" Or is consiousness itself the product of our biomechanical brain, would there be degredation as there is with any copy? how badlly would that effect our brains being that they are working on a quantum level and that would see the most copy degredation.
So now you have the original destroyed... you still need to transmit the data... you would still be bound by light speed... but during the transition time.. you well.. would be legaly dead, as you are only existing in the form of a stream of entanglement data...
Also.. the reciver would have to be physically hauled to its location... thats gona take some time..
But if you traversed a distance of 100 light years... you would be in transmission for a hundred years, but to you it would be an instant ...(grr damned dejavu) anyways... would you want to step into an uncertain future? knowing that when you finaly came back home it would be 200 years into the future?

well if we're going into scientific matters, you have to try and prove everything through science's viewpoint...so saying things like "would our soul "follow" us?" is not something you can say, as science sees us (humans) as merely the sum of our parts, thus you'd have to go with there being degredation if someone were to be transported like that, as science sees human conciousness as merely chemicals bubbling around in our brains...the whole point of this, in my opinion, what you seek, to say, is how to find a scientific link between science, and our souls...if you could find that, you can easily prove dreamscaping etc.
Science would state that since electromagnetism exists when we are alive - these electromagnetic bits contain our senses and conscious. When we die our brain loses that magnetic ability and so therefore electric matter can float around - this is an idea rapidly rising in the scientific community.
So is the idea that the spirit is aprt of the quantum loop that takes place in our brains. Its already proven that Perception can change quantummechanical outcomes, So the spirit changes these outcomes in the neurons in the brain, the brain works as an amplifyer, I wrote a whoel big detailed thing on this I will have to find it though =D
we need everything to link in if science and religion link in its a definte in my opinion. Ive always said that science is what relgion is its just another way of explaining it. Thats why I think, and many scientists do that life after death of the physical body is possible and cannot be refuted. Only be sceptics but then they are out there to deny everything
well you could also be frozen and then be brought back to life, in the distant future. It would be like 'time travel' too.

Now that we know entanglements do happen, once we get containment and such down good, we can find more than one property of a particle at any given time...

You could infer then what the original state was from the combined reading of both particles. Because they are essentially the same particle!!!
most universal scientists on quantem physics, mechanics and super space are sorta hypocrites...........they believe what they say in the lab...and believe other stuff in every day life...........theory is the key word so its not really something to base laws on in 'pairing'.........maybe there doesnt have to be contact

We are all connected, I have beleived this for quite some time, and second attention brought to light an experiment called the 100th monkey,
The Japanese monkey, Macaca fuscata, had been observed in the wild for a period of over 30years. In 1952, on the island of Koshima, scientists were providing monkeys with sweet potatoes dropped in the sand. The monkey liked the taste of the raw sweet potatoes, but they found the dirt unpleasant. An 18-month-old female named Imo found she could solve the problem by washing the potatoes in a nearby stream. She taught this trick to her mother. Her playmates also learned this new wayand they taught their mothers too.
This cultural innovation was gradually picked up by various monkeys before the eyes of the scientists. Between 1952 and 1958 all the young monkeys learned to wash the sandy sweet potatoes to make them more palatable. Only the adults who imitated their children learned this social improvement. Other adults kept eating the dirty sweet potatoes.
Then something startling took place. In the autumn of 1958, a certain number of Koshimam onkeys were washing sweet potatoes -- the exact number is not known. Let us suppose that when the sun rose one morning there were 99 monkeys on Koshima Island who had learned to wash their sweet potatoes. Let's further suppose that later that morning, the hundredth monkey learned to wash potatoes.
THEN IT HAPPENED! By that evening almost everyone in the tribe was washing sweet potatoes before eating them. The added energy of this hundredth monkey somehow created an ideological breakthrough!
But notice: A most surprising thing observed by these scientists was that the habit of washing sweet potatoes then jumped over the sea...Colonies of monkeys on other islands and the mainland troop of monkeys at Takasakiyama began washing their sweet potatoes. Thus, when a certain critical number achieves an awareness, this new awareness may be communicated from mind to mind.
Although the exact number may vary, this Hundredth Monkey Phenomenon means that when only a limited number of people know of a new way, it may remain the conscious property of these people.
But there is a point at which if only one more person tunes-in to a new awareness, a field is strengthened so that this awareness is picked up by almost everyone!
