Password Shared Dreaming Experiment (Host: Linkzelda)
This is just another thread for the previous shared dreaming experiment.
To be consistent with what was done, here is what Mindraker posted:
· After tonight, I'm going to pick a password from my Collins German-English Dictionary
· This dictionary-selected password will be kept secret for a month
· I'll still post the password I used from last night tonight at 10 PM
· The password I'll select in the future will be selected by means of a random number
· I'll take a timestamp of the random number and the time I took the timestamp
· We'll do this for 30 days, starting tonight at 10 PM EST
· We're not doing a search in a cathedral anymore for the word, we're just looking for the object.
Here's what I'll be doing:
TONIGHT, I will pick a password from my Biology Book:
"Campell Biology: Ninth Edition"
by Reece, Urry, Cain, Wasserman, Minorsky, Jackson
I know it isn't a dictionary, but it has a glossary, so hopefully this is good enough?
I'll be using the same website that Mindraker used to pick the number of the page within the book.
How I'm going to do this?
- 1. Use the random number generator website: >>>>Link here <<<<
- 2. I'll make a time-stamp just like Mindraker did, and also keep a picture with the number I picked AND the timestamp from the same site Mindraker used: >>>>The official US time (NIST & USNO) <<<<
- 3. We'll be doing this for 30 days, just like the previous experiment (I will do my best to have my Dream Journal Entries ending with SDE (Day: XX).....Example: Tacos and Sniper Shooting SDE DAY: 01 )
(SDE standing for Shared Dreaming Experiment of course :) )
- No location, you will be looking for the object.
- Also, it would be ideal to have 1-3 people participate (excluding me).
- For those 1-3 people that want to participate, they will use a format like this:
Password:
Lucid:
Time spent asleep:
Significant Dreamsigns;
(The format was made from a post of dutchraptor's)
(EDIT: You can also link your dream journal entry if you have one online as well)
These are all (most actually lol) my dream signs taken from the tag cloud on my Dream Journal:
I will collect EVERY ATTEMPT posted here and save it. And like Mindraker did, I'll do my best to store those who have a clear password attempt, and those who do not.
My Timezone:
http://ompldr.org/vZjN5NA
(Central Daylight Time (CDT) -0500 UTC)
And here's a picture of me:
Important Notes:
- College semester starts August 27th for me, so before then, I will do my best to maintain a time of sleeping around 11PM-Midnight---->Set an alarm to wake me up after 4-5 hours of sleep------>WBTB for 45-1hour (maybe 90 minutes at most)----->record any dreams recalled during that time-------->sleep the rest off until I wake up. (I'm going to try and do a WBTB+WILD...and maybe a V-MILD during the WBTBs and throughout the day).
So from tonight (but starting to log after midnight when it's August 15th, 2012 when I wake up for a WBTB and waking up again) to (August 26th, 2012), I will follow that sleeping pattern to the best of my ability. The first day will be August 15th and last day being September 13th (But again, when it's August 27th, I'll update if I can keep up with that sleeping pattern, and change according to adjusting to my new schedule)/
- Here's something I'm wondering I could do as a host. I'll do all password generating thing like Mindraker had above, but can I also have another goal of finding those participants, and attempt shared dreams with them (Since I'm sure that just making a random password through that process alone isn't going to make it conform to a shared dream.
Because I believe in shared dreaming (but I'm not claiming I'm some kind of divine being or anything like that, I'm just open to the possibility). So my mentality will be geared towards the mechanism of what it would (presumptive world) be like to attempt a shared dream.
- I am a very open-minded person, in fact, you might think I'm crazy. I love all sorts of things related to Beyond Dreaming (AP/OBE)....even things like the concept behind the Akashic Records (not the actual records that don't really have a "tangible" existence). I believe lucid dreaming and dreaming in general is more than just manifestations from your unconscious and subconscious. Why am I mentioning this? Think of me as the believer.
If I missed anything, please, anyone that took part in making a consistent procedure from the last shared dreaming password experiment thread clear anything up?
Also, I really hope the suggestion of me also attempting to find others in their dreams (and even them finding me in my dreams) is something acceptable rather than the only 1-3 participants trying to find hints to the password having to "search."
In my attempts, if it's something I can do, I will try (again, just playing the role of a shared dream believer) to find those participants and tell them the password.
BUT, of course, I won't mention the password here or in my dream journal at all. Since it'll be a random password based on the number generator and all that, I can always blank it out and keep it to myself.
Oh, and here's my dream journal:
http://www.dreamviews.com/blogs/linkzelda/
:)
Oh, well... Oh that short list complicates things. I did the post before I came here.
It's 7:02 am here and I just woke with the image of a man taking a large pet crocodile (8ft long and very musclly) for a walk through a jungle, on a lead, like a dog. I was behind them so no fear of huge crocodile for me. Got to put it in dream journal and pasword thread later.
Now it's 9pm (same day) Wed 15-Aug-12. I joined Linkzelda's password experiment.
I am lazy but I am honest. I find incubation and intending too much trouble. So, I am not going to think about finding Linkzelda's passeord or finding winning numbers for Waking Nomad or anything. I will just listen to my breathing and heartbeat as I drop-off. I won't even hope to remember a dream. But if I do I will see if I can find any numbers for Waking Nomad or a password for Linkzelda.
They say that as we go through our sleep cycles we enter and leave emptyness (total death) several times. But we do it without awarness so we miss the opportunity to permanently drop connection to what we are not.
I want to die. I have wanted is since I was an infant. As an infant I offten hoped I would never wake up.
The dream below is from sivison's old thread called:

This dream reveals my deepest wish (to die).

Had nice smooth dreams but the one I liked best was:
I saw a notice inviting folk to a meet of some sort. I went to the place willing to wait, even sleep in the wet, (with rain or dew) grass til other folk turned up.
When they did they were humans but unusual looking.
Like beautiful hand-carved living wooden statues. Every move was extremely beautiful and perfectly poised. But totally natural, as in, they had been highly routinized and highly self-disciplined monks and nuns for a single life of thousands of years with thousands of happy years of highly routinized and highly self-disciplined life yet to live.
Their prayers and meditations were non verbal, it was all gentle movement and body language and facial expression.
Together we went places.
Gently teleporting, smoothly, imperceptiblty. We were just there quickly and quietly.
At the last place, before I woke, I stood beside this cool silent monk in a forrest on the side of hills. I was aware of standing beside him as I desired to also be a yellow orb.*
Then I was a yellow orb of gentle energy.
I wanted to (metaphorically) die.
So, as an orb, I rose a mile or two, slowely, into the air, with reverent gratitude.
Then Gently and greatfully descended untill I touched the juicy topsoil of this sacred place and merged, formlessly.
Then I wanted to keep descending to the dark. molten and hard core of this divine planet but the quiet monk silently seemed to encourage me to consider remaining in the organic and alive, juicy, life-giving topsoil.
Then I gently woke up.
