What I find even more amusing is the fact that Sageous "liked" your post.
Sageous... who believes in astral projection just as much as I do. :D
In fact, I'm pretty sure that I am more open-minded than he is when it comes to AP.

^^ Actually, Empedocles, I never said I believed or didn't believe in AP at all -- to me that is irrelevant to this conversation. What I "liked" was that Chimpertainment voiced an impression that I was getting as well -- that you seemed more interested in arguing and refuting than in gaining input from the folks contributing here.
Sorry if that makes me seem like I'm not open-minded. I understand that you can run your thread any way you'd like, but I felt Chimpertainment deserved some acknowledgment.
Also, for what it's worth, sometimes I might add a "like" just to indicate that I read a post; please try not to draw too many conclusions from such a small act.
I had a similar online exchange a week ago with a guy who asserted that dream content is just noise, and that there is no value in dream recall for anyone (Slashdot). He challenged others to prove otherwise, while proposing a method of proof that was almost comically ill suited to the question at hand, in my view. I agree with him that dream recall usually isn't of much value for most people, just as I agree that astral travel is a lucid dream and not what a lot of people imagine it to be. I see this the same way as Sageous, with minor differences in emphasis. The burden of proof is not on your opponent when you've been twisting their arguments and ignoring the evidence offered. Sivason and others made valid analogies about color earlier. Color is not directly related to light spectra. When you ridicule their point without understanding it or why it is being made, then the burden of proof isn't on them anymore because the ignorance is on your end. Likewise, your calls for proof became overtly false after you indicated that you regarded paranormal results as evidence, then ignored my offer to help you experience such results for yourself. If you don't want to explore that world, that's perfectly reasonable. But then it makes no sense to continue challenging others to 'prove' things to you.
